Cozy Lakefront Chalet - On A Large Lake - Private Dock w/Boats

This is our family's chalet that we would like to share with others seeking the Innsbrook Resort experience. We grew up at my grandfather's house on Lake St Gallen. Having a young family, we decided to buy the chalet and share it with other families which is what makes this possible for us!

Most of the chalet was renovated in July 2020 and sits on Lake St Gallen. It has a brand new kitchen and is well stocked with cookware and utensils. There is also a new commercial ice machine installed in the kitchen so you don't have to worry about running out filling up your cooler.

It is a flat lot with a short walk to the lake where you will find a private dock, gravel beach with a fire-pit, and a couple canoes (w/life jackets) included with the rental. The lake is one of our favorites in all of Innsbrook, boasting ~50 acres, a fantastic tree line, and tons of fish. Just a few hundred feet South on the lake is a beach that is great to relax on and let your kids play in the water. This is a dog friendly home allowing one dog (we have a large Bulldog so no size limit!).

Our chalet has three bedrooms and two baths. The master has a king sized bed on the main level with a full sized bed in the loft and a queen bed with two twin beds in the upstairs bedroom.

This Chalet has the old Innsbrook "Treehouse" feel with modern updates throughout. We also have Wifi included that can handle video and working remotely.

Loverly place in the woods right on the lake
Doug is a fantastic host. Communication back and forth was great. The house was a cozy retreat. We had so much fun swimming in the lake and using the canoes and kayaks. We also used the firepit to make smores. When we wanted a change, we went to the nearby community swimming pool. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for family fun in Innsbrook.

Fun getaway
The cabin had everything we needed and was very comfortable! We loved drinking coffee on the beach, eating on the patio and had smores around the campfire every night. We brought our own SUP’s and the boys had a great time taking the canoes down to the swim platform. We also visited one of the beaches on the bigger lake and the swimming pool. Beautiful spot!

We picked this location because it was between family in STL and the wedding in Hermann. This house was perfect. Clean, well appointed and attentive host. The lake location was perfect for a quiet relaxing weekend. Highly recommend.

Great family vacation spot
We had such a great time our grandkids are already talking about when we go back. The chalet is very comfortable and cozy and the outdoor spaces are even better. The lake is big enough we all enjoyed it but small enough you can watch the kids kayak to the beach and back. We used a few of Innsbrook’s facilities, golf and the pool but mostly we were content to hang around the dock to play in the lake. Thanks Doug and Amy for such a great vacation spot

Relaxing stay in a cozy cabin
My husband and I enjoyed our three night retreat at Hayes Hideaway! We spent lots of time canoeing, fishing, and swimming. The TV set up is also great with an awesome soundbar. Kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything we needed. We booked last minute so we appreciate them accommodating us. The only thing we were missing was firewood (but lots of opportunities for us to buy it). Would have been great to have that ready to go for us, but completely understand given the fact we booked last minute. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect place for a getaway
Process of booking and communication was so easy the entire time. It was the best place to go and spend fun, quality time with our family. The cabin had everything we needed. The location was perfect. The lake was so much fun! They provided canoes and kayaks. We fished and swam and floated all day long. The lake was quiet and provided a lot of opportunities to view nature. In the evenings, we made big dinners and watched movies.

Innsbrook is such a nice peaceful community where we were 30 minutes from home but felt far away deep in a forest. This cabin is nice, rustic cabin feel with the amenities of nice shower running water yet very outdoorsy. Beds were comfortable. If you come in the fall or winter may want to bring a couple blankets for couch sitting. The deck is spacious and nice for outdoor entertainment. The dock to fish from is very nice spacious and comfortable. Fire pits are nice, one in driveway and one down by lake. The firewood man delivered the best wood. The close proximity of the lake is a big plus. Nice hiking trails on property too. It’s very beautiful in the fall. Cabin had all the things for cooking and was very nice stay and cozy. It would be nice to have access to golf cart or gator to drive around the property. The market was a fun place to walk to. Very beautiful! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Great memories!

Nice size lake house. With simple living.
Nice size house. For a decent size family. We took 5month, 4yr old & 3 adult teens. Plenty of bath towels . Need to bring your own beach towels & toys. Also any fishing items, you may want. There is 2 small kayaks & a smaller canoe & larger canoe. Plenty of life jackets for young kids & adults. Nicely stocked kitchen with dishes , pots & pans , along with plenty of seasonings/spices. ( you need to bring, your own baggies or Tupperware, paper towels & roasting sticks) There is an ice machine that is amazing if needing to pack coolers or just always have ice. Nice size deck that looks over the dock & lake area!! Perfect for grilling out & enjoying the beautiful weather. Small beach just a short way up the lake/road that our littles had a great time at. ( also has a volleyball net at) Cons: Unclear on how TV upstairs actually worked, we were unable to use. Would be nice with simple DVD player. Cleaning needs a little more attention, Underbeds, also under, behind couches & the cushions also. There is no laundry room, but there is a laundromat in town that is a short drive. Along with small grocery store. And would highly suggest eating at Railhouse Pub! Overall nice long weekend for our family to have some lake time, go fishing, play in the water/sand & get away.

Quiet Getaway
Cottage was peaceful and quiet. Great that there were canoes and kayaks to explore the lake. Firepit and deck at lakefront are nice for relaxing. Host was responsive with a couple questions I had during our stay. I was disappointed that the two showers were so small and outdated. No overhead fan or chest of drawers in the main bedroom.

Peaceful getaway
We stayed for a weekend as a family. The lake was lovely. House as described. Enjoyed the dock, kayaks and canoes, nearby beach with dock you can swim to/jump off of. For families with young children, there are a couple of latching gates to keep littles from wandering down the stairs to the lake. There were plenty of cups, dishes, silverware etc but there is no dishwasher in the unit so if you have a larger group plan on using some paper plates/ to avoid doing dishes constantly. Beds were very comfortable.
