The hotel used to be Four Seasons. Much of that has remained, there is some old style luxury in the rooms, which all have a door directly outside. Some patching and repairing needed, the pool could have been a bit cleaner, the bed bit softer. But the place is beyond imagination. Lots and lots of tiny little flies, and every possible critter tries to get to the room when you open the door. But the tranquility, breathtaking views and nature. Waking up at 5 for sunrise was worth it. Independent of the hotel, a ”small group sunset picnic” was beautiful, but the picnic was a joke, and the price nearly 10x of the value + additional national park ticket for 3 days required to go 500m inside the park. But either you have to rent a car or take one of the organized tours if you want to be nearer to the rock, the hotel is over 10 km to Uluru. Breakfast was not included. Hotel restaurant dinners were good.
