This 2024 Park Model Cottage boasts fantastic oceanfront views of the western end of Johnstone Strait, where it meets with the Queen Charlotte Strait. Local areas easily accessible by boat include Blackfish Sound, Cormorant Channel and the world-renowned Broughton Archipelago Marine Park. These areas are frequented by local wildlife, including Humpbacks, Orcas, Seals, Otters, Sea lions, Eagles, Herons, and more.
You can be as active or laid-back as you like. This is a perfect spot to kayak, paddleboard, hike, fish, go on a wildlife or whale-watching tour, or relax and enjoy the beautiful ocean views from your cottage. The sunrise and sunset views are spectacular. Indeed, this is a photographer’s paradise. A Local Ski Area is nearby for those off-season getaways.
This fully serviced 2-bedroom accommodation contains a full bathroom, shower/tub, kitchen, and living room. It is well equipped with 1 queen bed, 1 double bed, 1 sofa sleeper, dishwasher, microwave, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, BBQ, outdoor furniture, and a fire pit—all you need to enjoy your stay (see amenities list). All towels and linens are supplied, as are complimentary coffee and tea.
The unit can sleep up to 6 people, but to prioritize comfort and space, we set a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children for an enjoyable stay for all guests. It includes a dedicated high-speed fibre internet connection for streaming or working remotely.
Each cottage is privately owned but managed by Alder Bay Vacation Rentals. It is located at Alder Bay RV Park & Marina. A laundromat, a small general store, and Roxy’s Diner food truck are on-site. See Alder Bay’s website for more info.
Nearby centers include Port McNeill, Port Hardy, Hyde Creek and Telegraph Cove.
