Solo trip for funeral
Very cold time of year. Snow and sleet showers. However, room and bathroom warm, cosy after being outside. Comfy bed. All very clean. Staff at reception, breakfast and bar area all very welcoming and helpful. Would go back again.

For the price the hotel was fantastic. It's an old hotel with character, so the rooms are much larger than the modern hotels. The staff are so helpful and friendly. So convenient for the railway and bus station, taxis, city centre and harbour.

A mixed review - breakfast, location and friendly staff were the positives. Negatives were the interiors are very dated (I remember Butlins had those curtains in the early 80s), stains on carpet, broken TV remote. The enamel had a lot of gaps in shower, no shower gel and the bottles aren’t see through so you find out too late there is no gel. I put my used towel in the shower when I wanted a new one and I came back to find the used towel drying on the radiator and no new clean towel, plus window was left open so room was freezing. I’d left the used one it in a wet shower as requested on the signs for a new towel. Not hygienic. No heating control. Quite noisy inside the hotel not from the city outside. It’s an old building so I appreciate it’s a lot to update however I think more realistic photos are needed if not all standard rooms look like the pictures. Good hot and cold breakfast and evening food in the hotel bar was very nice. Nice reception, bar and breakfast staff. I enjoyed my stay however a few extra checks when cleaning rooms and more realistic room pics and the rest is great. Good location, Hotel is next to bus and train station (obviously) so good for day coach trips also, I went on a 9 hour day trip to the coast so it was nice to be a 2 min walk back to the hotel. Buses to castles, airport, other cities also if you are not driving.

Station Hotel Stay
We found everyone at Station Hotel extremely friendly and helpful. I would like to mention Cameron and Ahmed on Reception, who were so helpful and efficient. Also, June in the restaurant, who went out of her way to do everything to help me. I have a broken hip and am using crutches at the moment. The only drawback was that the lift was under repair. However, we were informed before booking our particular room. Finally, I would have like to have a few more places to place toilet bags, make up bags etc in the bathroom. Also, a small shelf in the shower for soap would be handy as some people prefer soap to shower gel. All in all, we were very satisfied and will definitely return. Thank you.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was very tired. It didnt look like the photo I booked from. It was far too hot with no radiators on. Had to keep the windows open and made it so noisy. Bed uncomfortable, flooring not clean, socket next to bed doesn’t work and not fixed to wall properly. No plug in bathroom sink. Neighbouring windows can easily see in velux windows with no blinds.

Location was fantastic when coming in from bus or train (across the road from the station). Staff were great! Gave options for room (one lift was broken). Buffet breakfast was very good. Parking was easy (paid extra). Is an older building - room was clean and tidy but tired. Over all good experience.

Very good hotel for cheep getaway or just crashing in Aberdeen hotel staff friendly easy parking round side of hotel. Bathroom outdated but comfortable beds so can really complain!

My experience, at the heart of the city, stationab
It was adequate for what we expected the food however was not to my taste. They were kind enough to get me something else free of charge when i could not eat my steak because it was not prepared the way i wanted it. The lift to my room was broken so we had to go round the other rooms to get to our room. However overall it was not a bad experience the staff were willing to listen and profer solutions to questions. The room was clean and value for money, the wifi worked well and there was also parking for a charge but at least the car was safe. There was alot of signs showing you where you were going so it was easy to find your wat around, they are also eco-friendly, given customers just Enough towels to avoid wastage, the room was also well-light, the extra touch was when i found earplugs in the cupboard because the hotel is situated in the heart of the town, this was well thought of to allow for a good night sleep if it became noisy. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. It also had a big bath tub as opposed to a small one. The restaurant catered well and were willing to listen to critism and listen to individual opinions. The checkin and check out times were adequate and speedy. They were willing to help with luggage and apologised quite quickly to us as soon as we checked in to let us know that the lift was broken. I would however recommend the hotel as i think it has one of the best high tea experience with assorted snacks and its affordable as well as tasty

Very nice older hotel with lovely decor. There is a lift. We had a huge room with comfortable beds. The mini-fridge was a nice bonus! The bath had a great shower with beautiful tile. However, it could do with another towel rack or hooks to hang up wet towels. The room was quiet, which we appreciated. The hotel is across the street from the train station and Union Square, which offers stores, restaurants, coffee shops. Sainsburys is next door. Great location as we were arriving & departing by train. Staff was friendly & helpful. Would stay here again.

I paid a £100 for 1 night,i had no view,the room was cold at night the thermostat was missing from radiator so i couldnt adjust it to turn the radiator on.
