New, very clean and nice place. Large, comfortable suites with fridge/sink/basic food ware. We stayed with dog and property has large, mowed grass area next door which was perfect spot to walk dog etc. Breakfast had a nice selection. We will definitely stay again…good value.

Our stay at the TownePlace Suites in Abilene was near-perfect thanks to the staff. Great location, professional staff, clean, and very quiet hotel. Outstanding all around. Folks using Expedia / Hotels.com to book this hotel, take note: Marriott has updated their website with this info, but Hotels.com has not. Some rooms are billed as, "King Bed, with pull out couch - sleeps four." The problem: the couch bed will not clear the bed. Spoke with the hotel manager who said it had been a problem when ordering the custom couches. Again, this is NOT a hit on the TownePlace or Marriott, but rather Hotels.com. Marriott did its part in updating / warning potential customers on its website; Hotels.com has not.
