Perfect Rio Chama Camping Trip Location

It was good, the food was good and the people were nice. When I went to check out at 7:30 am, no one was there to check me out so a restaurant server had to help me out and I had to hope that everything was in order. Email later gave me receipt for the right amount. We went on a rafting camping trip on the Rio Chama and it was super convenient for that trip meeting location!

I liked the ambience of the Inn and also the landscaping around this property. Our casita was charmingly decorated in the Northern New Mexico style. I especially liked having a backdoor opening onto a lovely, shared courtyard with a fountain. We dined at the Inn's restaurant and found the food good and price reasonable.

What is not to like?

My stay was amazing, comfortable accommodations, great happy hour outdoor dining, sculpture garden, quiet courtyards with fountains, horses, 100 year old cottonwoods: what is not to like?

I loved all the various art pieces everywhere. The staff and cafe staff were very nice and good people. They are dog friendly. My dog loved it. Our casita was beautiful . The trails and gardens so beautiful and unique. My dog made friends with the donkeys. She had never seen one before. I almost do not want to give a good review…..cause I want the place all to myself. True delight.

It is rustic, and even though opulence is not to be found here, there is nowhere in this world where I would rather spend a vacation, or heck, even a short stay. The staff are kind and competent, the restaurant quite good, there is a Georgia O’Keefe museum on the grounds…what is not to like?
