The website says there is onsite parking which is incorrect. Parking is actually in a multi storey parking station across the road from the hotel, so therefore offsite, which was rather inconvenient. You also then have to return to the hotel after you have exited the carpark after checking out in order to return the swipe. No where to drop the swipe when exiting the Wilson Car Park at the end of your stay.
When we booked the one bedroom apartment there was no mention of any stairs inside the apartment. Luckily when I got there, I mentioned my husband was on a rollator, and the staff were able to change us to a studio room with no stairs. If there are stairs in a guest room, it really should be mentioned somewhere.
The room was furnished beautifully and tastefully and was very spacious. The flooring with all the creaks and groans and being very uneven, unfortunately lets it down, as you can hear the guests walking around in the room above you too, which often kept us awake late at night and woken really early in the morning.
The general area outside is quite noisy with a bar next door and a laneway at the rear where you hear people yelling and carrying on very loudly at all hours.
This may suit people there to party and who have little luggage etc and therefore with no issues with any of the above points, but unfortunately I doubt we will return for these reasons, which is no reflection on the staff who were very accommodating and pleasant.
