Escape to the Poconos at the Red Tail Retreat. Our cozy & stylish cabin set in nature has 5 private bedrooms with 1 King, 3 Queen & 2 Twin Bunk Beds. Relax in comfort by the fireplaces or play games in the entertainment room. You can hang out on the over-sized deck & have a soak in the 6-person hot tub.
In the summer enjoy the outdoor private community pool, beach and lake. Then in the colder months hit the slopes at Big Boulder Mountain or Jack Frost Ski Resort just minutes away by car.

The Space:
The Red Tail Retreat is the perfect family or group of friend's getaways for outdoor enthusiasts looking to unwind or seek adventure in the Poconos. As you approach the cabin be alert driving as its almost a guarantee you will see some wildlife, likely deer. Pull into the spacious gravel driveway which accommodates 7 cars.

Plenty of fun to be had as you enter the cabin through the lower level and into the Entertainment Room equipped with games galore. These include Air Hockey, Shuffleboard, Ring Toss, and Retro video games on the 55 -inch HDTV (bring your own login and enjoy any app!). We also have Full size arcade games Pac Man and Mortal Combat. A full complement of board and card games including poker provides many fun options for everyone. Grab a blanket and cozy up on the couch by the red retro electric fireplace which enhances the cabin vibes aesthetic.

Each bedroom includes a television.
You will find the Master Bedroom at the end of the hall on the lower level holds A KING size bed with premium memory foam mattress (which are on all the beds). This generous space also holds a 55-inch HDTV and additional seating area. For those looking to get some work done a full-sized desk is also included.

The first of 2 bathrooms is located outside the master bedroom. A newly designed white tile walk-in shower brightens the room.
We offer premium bath and shower products to our guests from Public Goods, an eco-friendly and health-conscious company, including hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A full-sized stackable washer and dryer are also found in this space.

Across from the bathroom is the first of three queen-sized bedrooms with plenty of closet space and a colorful design.

As you head upstairs you will pass by the mini-bar and fridge which are equipped for any of your cocktail needs. The main living area upstairs is open concept with cathedral ceilings providing plenty of room for everyone.

You will have no problem cooking up any meal in the fully equipped kitchen. On your left sits a coffee bar with the option for regular coffee or K-cups (included).

A dining table that seats 8 and 2 bar stools at the kitchen island provide seating for 10 guests to enjoy a meal. These spaces make for the perfect setting to enjoy socializing while someone prepares beverages or a meal. Additional features include:

Another electric fireplace awaits in the living room. A curated reading collection sits on the mantle with works covering such topics as What to do in the Poconos, Cabin living, and classics. Grab some reading material and get comfy on the sofa in front of the fireplace. A 50-inch HDTV above the mantle is another alternative to pass some time. There is also the record player with a diverse vinyl collection and a guitar. Whether listening to a classic album (we’ve got something for everyone!) or strumming out a few chords you will surely have some laughs and make memories.

Enter the hall to find the 2nd bathroom on the right, also tastefully updated with a fun black and white tile. Each bathroom also has a hair dryer and make up towels.
Back into the hallway where you find two more good-sized queen bedrooms both with ample closet space. At the end of the hall on the left is the 5th bedroom which holds two twin bunk beds and a 43-inch HDTV and more retro video games, as perhaps the younger ones might want to declare this room their space during the stay.

✹ ADDITIONAL GUEST COST: The base price is set for 2 guests. There is an extra charge of $15 per additional guest per night. Up to 10 total guests total - including children. All children over 2 will count towards the total guest count.

✹ PETS: A maximum of three dogs are permitted. The Pet fee is $150 for the first dog and $125 for the second dog and $100 for the third dog. . If you bring 2 or 3 dogs let us know as we will have to send a request to pay those fees. Please note that pets are not allowed on furniture or beds. Additional cleaning fees will be imposed if pets have been allowed on furniture or beds.

☀ Submit guest info 3 days before arrival for community and amenity access or we will have to pay a $50 late fee and charge it back to you.

☀ No parties—this is a peaceful, nature-focused retreat.

Guest Access:
You will have access to the entire home except for 1 locked owners closet located in the upstairs dining area.

Getting Around:
You will need a car to get around. There is uber in the area but it's not dependable.

Other Things to Note:
The Towamensing Trails private community has a Lake, a beach and a playground for you to enjoy only 5 mins from the house! The outdoor pool is only open during summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
All guests must be registered with the community and will be required to submit their license plates to us to get your vehicles parking passes to use during your stay. The community office will issue vehicle tags and wristbands (8 maximum) for access to all the community amenities including the lake, beach, pool, arcade room, restaurant, trash site etc. In order to guarantee access to the community amenities guests need to book and submit the required information needed to get you registered. This includes: The guest who books mailing address, cell phone number and all cars being parked license plate numbers and state registered. We need this information at least 3 days before the reservation starts. We can try our best to get you registered the day before (except on Sundays as office is closed) but we can't guarantee it.
As there is no trash pick-up the community requires guests to dispose of their trash. This is not in our control. The dumpster station is located 6 mins drive from the property. Please drop off trash upon checkout.
Early check ins and late check outs are available for a fee.

Interaction with Guests:
While we are not local, we are available every day between the hours of 7 am and 10 pm to help with messages sent through airbnb or by contacting our phones directly. We have support standing by locally for any issue that can come up.

As a guest of Hot Tub, Game Room, Fire Place, Mins to Ski, Pets, you'll find a hot tub, barbecue grills, and an arcade/games room. The front desk is open around the clock.
