Nicely renovated historic property close to old town. Quiet area that is variable in states of renovation. Tap room small and cozy with live music on weekend. Relatively empty the weekend we were there in January. Small room but very comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay at El Vado. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great pressure and was nice. The room is small. We were here for one night and it was perfect. We woulto return in the summer so we can enjoy the pool and outdoor amenities.
Stayed here for the night and thought it was a very unique and neat stay. Keep in mind that the rooms are older and it shows in a few minor areas. We had some issues with a dirty towel in the bathroom, but we typically travel with our own bedding and some towels (been there/done that in cheaper motels) just in case so we used those instead of asking for new ones as we got there kind of late.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The El Vado is super cute and a place we’d stay again in a pinch. But our room smelled like mildew water the entire time we were there. You walked in and it would destroy your nose. You eventually would get used to it but it was pretty putrid. We would leave the door open for fresh air. Also the internet was pretty bad. I think we got what I call the “Expedia” room which is the cheapest, worst room on property because you pay the cheap Expedia price. Room 8. Avoid!
Good little motel.
Would be great if they had breakfast served.
In regards to the room #3 the floor was un-gluing so that was a bit weird. The Internet is just terrible with little to no signal.
The lady who did our check-in was great in the other hand the one who did our check out was just ok and would be edit from more training.
This place is so cute and exactly the old school Route 66 vibe we were hoping for. Comfy rooms that have recently been redecorated, and the whole property is well maintained and retains a wonderful vintage appeal. We loved the on-site bar and neighboring dining options and it was so conveniently located to everywhere we were going in Albuquerque. Staff was super sweet and the whole stay was a breeze. Will definitely stay here again!
Booked this for a one night stay driving through Albuquerque. It's a re-do of a vintage 50's motor lodge. Nicely remodeled. No bar or restaurant. I thought it would be a good location to shop and dine in historic Old Town. Sadly that area, however is not what it used to be. Still, a nice, convenient place to stay for a cross country Route 40 (old route 66) overnight stay.
