Historic Bungalow w/porch, King1bd/1ba, Professionally Cleaned

This house is a true adobe craftsman bungalow, built in 1912 and is part of the Silver Hill Historic district. Come stay and discover the character and charm that this old home offers. The location is great, there are a number of good restaurants and shops within walking distance.

The house has been split into 2 completely separate units, this is unit A and is the front part of the house.

House Features:
*Large enclosed porch is a great place to spend time enjoying your morning coffee or an evening cocktail.
*Large front yard
*All-in-one Washer/Dryer (dryer uses extraction and not heat to dry so it does take a long time)
*Close to UNM, Nob Hill, restaurants & shops
*Quick freeway access
*Minutes from the Airport (3miles)

The Kitchen:
* Fully stocked with all appliances EXCEPT a dishwasher
* Stocked with dishes, silverware, cups/glasses, and cookware
* Coffee maker w/ supply of coffee and tea

This home has been split into completely separate units. This listing is the front part of the house and has a large porch & yard.

This is an older home, and has great charm and character but it also comes with the creaks and cracks that occur over time.

Bathroom is located off the master bedroom

Street Parking -permit provided for one car
There is a small 1 car garage, but it is an older building.
Garage dimensions: 5'9" tall, 10'6" wide, 16'5" deep

There is NO dishwasher in this home

Trash - city cans for trash & recycling for both units are located on the west side of the house. You get to them by going through the gate on the west side of the house (walk outside and turn left)

Washer/dryer combo: Super energy efficient, but it takes hours to do a load, so start it when you go to bed or leave for the day. It dries through extraction, not with heat, so items are still slightly damp when the cycle is complete. This allows you to shake out wrinkles and hang to finish.

Minisplits in each room for HVAC

Home is regularly treated with non-toxic pest repellent. Still, this property is located in a historic neighborhood in the desert. Bugs are a part of life here in the southwest. While we make every effort to keep it spotless for guests, we cannot completely control nature and therefore you may see the occasional bug (specifically sugar ants). Please be aware of this and make sure you're ok with the possibility before booking.

Fireplace is no functioning, only decorative

Really needed more kitchen supplies
It was hard to make a meal since some of the kitchen basics were either worn out or missing. House needs more lighting. Kitchen is dark and hard to find things without enough light. Chairs in the living room were not comfortable at all. Looked nice but felt like sitting on saggy bricks which is an odd combination. Bed was very comfortable though. Walking distance to UNM.

Albuquerque bungalow
Property was older than looked in pics . Bars on all doors . Neighborhood seemed a little seedy. Although near Central Ave . We didn’t feel we could walk at night . But host was responsive when asked her questions.

Cute house in a convenient location
We had a great stay. We were in town for a concert at Isleta amphitheater. Location is very convenient to both the the amphitheater and the airport (my wife flew in to town). If you jave a larger vehile you will need to use the street parking, but that was pretty easy and always available right outside the unit. Overall a great stay!

This was a great place for us to stay while visiting family. Very clean, clear directions for everything in the house and a nice kitchen with all that we needed to cook some of our meals at the house.

Charming gem in lovely, quiet neighborhood!
So many VRBOs nowadays are sterile and bland and completely devoid of any character or charm. Taryn’s casita is loaded with charm and has the beautiful patina you would expect from a vintage home, but has been nicely updated where it matters and is clean as a whistle. The mini splits are super quiet and kept us cool during the unseasonably warm weekend we were here. The parking was plentiful and easy and the location is ideally located. We especially loved 2 nearby restaurants: Salt & Board and Mesa Provisions.

Easy around town location
Cute older house with great access to all over town. Near freeway and restaurants as well as the university. Parking took a minute to understand and was easy thereafter. Street parking Is allowed 24/7 in front of house with the supplied parking permit. READ the welcome packet in the house; so much faster that way. Had a great time./ Recommend.

Cozy, clean bungalow
We enjoyed three days in Taryn’s little bungalow. The location was great for access to freeways for our explorations of Albuquerque and area sites. This home was a perfect place to unwind at the end of busy days of sightseeing. The king size bed is amazingly comfortable, and the living room cozy and welcoming. A great place to stay in Albuquerque!

Perfect for my needs
Traveling by myself this time, I felt very safe in this house. I had a more stressful trip, not pleasurable visit this time, so I was glad for a safe place to unwind.. plus is an easy location for me to go where I needed. The weather was not cooperating for an everyday view of the Sandia’s, but I know it’s a gorgeous way to rise. I hope it’s available when I need to come back .. thanks Taryn

wonderful place for a couple near the University
This place is adorable. Nice little place is just perfect for a couple. We had an excellent time here. Near the University and bus stops. We didn't even rent a car. We used the public transportation system, which is currently free. The house has everything needed. Eateries galore in the neighborhood. We would stay here again if returning.

Lovely home in the heart of ABQ
The location of this property can't be beat! Super easy access to the major hubs around ABQ, and a short ten minute drive to the airport. Walking distance to the classic Frontier Restaurant, an ABQ staple. Safe neighborhood and comfortable home to stay in. The only thing I might say was slightly frustrating was the lack of any plugs near the bathroom vanity. But overall a lovely stay!
