Pros: (1) The courteous behavior of the staff. (2) The fast and easy check-in and check-out process. Cons: I'm generally happy with my stay (8 nights), but there are two issues that I found annoying. (1) The windows are not double-glazed or sound-insulated, and outside noise can easily be heard inside the room. Even though my room was on the sixth floor, I was woken up several times at night by outside noises. (2) The cleaners come every day and knock on the door. As I do not speak Spanish, it was difficult to communicate that I did not need cleaning. Even when I’m not in the room, I find it unacceptable for the cleaners to enter and clean without permission.

There was a strong cigarette smell on the 10th floor where my room was although the hotel doesn't allow smoking and has no balcony so people were careless and probably smoked in their rooms. The room was clean but the walls were a bit dirty and the bathroom door was damaged. The shower had a very low pressure as well as the tap! Otherwise very clean sheets and towels!

I booked the standard room and it was everything we needed and spotlessly clean. It doesn’t have things like coffee making, robes etc but I knew that when booked the cheapest standard room. The air conditioning was great and needed! The location is brilliant - across the street from central market, very close to tram and walkable to all areas including port and beach. There is a lovely lobby area with free chilled water and fruit. There is not really a restaurant - but with so many choices we wouldn’t have dined there anyway as it was great to get out and about. The airport bus stops directly in front of hotel if you needed it. Reception staff excellent. Would definitely stay again if in Alicante.
