Absolutely gorgeous & cozy!
My friends and I absolutely loved this property! Gorgeous views, very spacious, and very cozy. There were 5 of us and we had so much room to spread out but also plenty of room to be together whenever we would eat dinner, play games, or relax in the living room or on the patio. There were a ton of cooking supplies in the kitchen which was extremely helpful when making meals for all of us. The views were incredible and the energy was so serene. The neighborhood is perfect for getting away and relaxing. The trails nearby are also gorgeous and relatively easy. Alma is a perfect location for a mountain getaway. My only complaints were that some of the cleaning utensils were not cleaned properly and it seemed like some other things like the bedding and toilets were missed when the house was last cleaned before our stay. The other thing I wish was checked (or probably needs to be replaced) is the DVD player in the living room. We tried watching movies and the DVD player did not work. The smart TV downstairs also was locked and logged into someone else’s account. I would love to come back here again and I hope that these issues are addressed so that we can enjoy our stay even more!

Ski Trip
House was found as described in the online description. Only minor issue was the condition of the skillets and the toaster and coffee maker. They were significantly dated and weren't easy to use. If these were updated it would have made the stay a better experience when cooking and starting the morning off with a nice cup of coffee. These were minor issues and recommendations. Overall the stay was great and the customer service was prompt and responsive when needed.

Early Autumn
We had a very relaxing long weekend with the kids aged 6 and 9. The cabin provides easy access to trails and fishing; the walk up to Wheeler Lake is lovely. Kids enjoyed evening hot tubbing with the Milky Way visible above. The cabin was spacious and well-equipped. The log structures make it feel like a real alpine cabin experience.

Beautiful Cabin
Spacious beautiful cabin with spectacular views. One day turn around for any issues we had. The lady who we called was extremely pleasant and helpful. One negative is the mountain pass you have to go over and the driveway you need to go up. You Absolutely Need Four Wheel Drive in the winter.

What a view!
The property is beautiful. One of the best views I have ever had and so quiet! We were there for three nights and loved it. We did pick up a couple bottles of oxygen in town and it helped alot. 11000 feet is up there. The reservoir in the valley below was beautiful and make sure to follow the road around the back to see the old gold mine.

Amazing views
The view from the balcony is worth 10 stars! Altitude is 11,200 feet, so we had to cut our stay short due to my wife’s altitude sickness. Not the fault of the property or the management, though. Be aware of the altitude and read up on altitude before staying here, if you’re not aware of this.

Wonderful!!
Our family had an absolutely wonderful time at the cabin! The view of two 14'ers right off the main deck was amazing, as well as the other surrounding mountains. The cabin itself was great...very spacious and comfortable. Bedrooms were great and the beds were very, very comfortable! The hot tub was the best, especially after my daughter and I hiked the 14'ers! Would highly recommend folks hiking down to the beautiful lake at the base of the mountains. It's a mile walk down to it. (The return walk might be a workout for those not used to uphill walking.) Looked like a great place to go fishing, too. I brought my mountain bike and went for a ride to the far side of the lake where there is an abandoned mine. Very interesting. It's about a 20-minute drive into Breckenridge, which was perfect...not too far, but not too close to get all the light pollution. The stars, and the Milky Way, were amazing! I would only have two "heads up" for future visitors. First, Lakeview Drive, as well as the driveway up to the cabin itself, are not too friendly for low riding vehicles. You will definitely need to watch where you are going to avoid scraping bottom. It was no problem for our 2000 Honda CRV. Our low profile Hyundia Sonata was a bit more problematic. Go up both of them in low gear! Second, the only common area bathroom was on the bottom floor. The one on the main floor and top floor require going through a bedroom. The road/driveway and bathrooms were not problems for our family, but just adding for an honest review. Like I said, we had an absolutely wonderful stay at the cabin, and will DEFINITELY be returning in the future!

Cabin was nice, but, the indoor fireplace never worked. We let the owner know about the fireplace the first day but it was never fixed. Shower soap was not provided, I guess we missed that disclaimer?

Excellent Cabin in an excellent location. Beautiful scenery and views from the balcony. Did struggle with breathing at that high altitude and wish more was shared about that opportunity for people who have never experienced it.

Cabin above the lake
The location of the cabin was ideal for the kind of vacation we had planned. My husband wanted to be able to fish and hike and all that is right outside your door. The reservoir is a 5 minute drive down the hill. There are great rivers and lakes to fish close by as well. It's also a short drive to downtown Breckenridge, which was a plus. The cabin has a great open floor plan and a bonus living area in the basement. The jacuzzi was a plus as well.

Beautiful view
The home met our expectations. The views were incredible. Coming from Louisiana, most of the group struggled with the altitude; however, the views and location made it manageable for those who struggled.. We loved the Wheeler Lake Trail and Montgomery Reservoir, which is a very short drive or a nice moderate walk. Part of the group fished and panned for gold in the middle fork river, which again is extremely close to the cabin. The abundance of trails that were an easy drive from the cabin made for an easy hiking trip… Breck was only a 24 minute drive, which we only went in once for kid activities in the mountain. Alma and Fairplay provided all we needed for our stay. Property management communicated well. We would highly recommend this cabin.

Awesome Vacation!
Property was amazing - exactly as described. Well appointed kitchen with everything you could need (except perhaps kitchen shears, but plenty of sharp knives!) Decks were fantastic with grill, hot tub and numerous chairs. Plenty of space to spread out. Driveway was manageable (summer time). One comment on directions: We came from a different direction than the provided directions, so we struggled a bit to find SR 4. For those who find themselves in a similar boat, it’s good to know that you take the SR 4 entry that is within 1-2 miles of Hoosiers Pass. There is another entry further south but it’s a much longer drive on a bumpy road. You won’t regret booking this place!

Absolutely gorgeous views! Drive in was simple enough with directions given and short drive into town for groceries and goods. Driveway is challenging if you don’t have 4wd. We will definitely be coming back again to make more memories with our family! Thank you for everything.
