There is a gas station (bait and fishing supplies, convenience store items), 2 bars and a restaurant/coffee shop within a mile in the town of Elba. The Whitewater Wines Winery is 5.6 miles up the road.

Shared campground amenities:
Bathhouse with 2 private individual rooms, each with a hot shower, vanity and flush toilet.
Propane grill with side burner.
Community area (requires short hike) with tent shelters (2, each 10' x 20'), outdoor furniture, tables, chairs, propane grill w/ side burner, firepit w/ cooking grate/skillet.
Stargazing area with reclining chairs (requires short hike).
Cell service: AT&T typically works well, Verizon works intermittently, and T-mobile doesn't have a good signal.
Wi-fi: Available at the cabin, data speeds up to 25 Mbps.

Parking: On site, 2 vehicle limit, no vehicles larger than a full-size truck, no trailers.
Host accessibility: Available 24/7/365 via phone and email/messaging, frequently on site.
Security: Campground community areas are under video surveillance.

Setting: Aefintyr campground is located in the hilly, wooded, blufflands of the Whitewater River Valley just north of the tiny town of Elba, MN. Views are primarily of the woods and valleys. The campground is off of a 2 lane county highway so there is some intermittent road noise. It is otherwise very peaceful and filled with the sounds of nature, including lots of birds and other wildlife.
Aefintyr is a peaceful place with chill vibes and we like to keep it that way! It is not a place for parties or rowdy groups. We like to listen to nature, not loud music or rowdy people blabbering into the night. Please see our rules/polices to know what to expect.

Absolutely loved this cabin stay for our family! Clean, quick drive to whitewater state park for day adventures, and so nice to come back and enjoy the time at the cabin. Bathrooms were great and clean! Nice to have running warm water for our toddler along for the trip. Will definitely be considering booking again! :)

The cabin was actually nicer than the pictures gave them credit for. The beds and couch were very comfortable. The bathrooms were much nicer than expected. Both the cabin and the bathrooms were very clean. The grounds around the cabin really needed a good mowing. It would have been helpful if firepit tools for moving hot logs or cleaning out old charred pieces of wood were provided. Not something we have to bring with us.

Fly Fishing
Our group of three long time friends that like to fish together found this Tree House Cabin close to the Whitewater River near Elba, MN. It looked similar to places we've stayed to ice fish with bunk beds, no indoor plumbing and a little table to play games. We were pleasantly surprised to see how much better this was. It was very clean, nicely decorated and more spacious then we expected. It's nestled in the beautiful woods on Whiskey Hill and we wished we had more then one night to stay. I highly recommend this cabin and the owner always responded immediately to my questions.

What a great setup! The property features a cabin and separate bath house below, and several outdoor camping areas up the bluff. Just a little more clarification on which amenities are in which area, but otherwise just fine. Lots of extra touches and small details were appreciated. I am hoping to make staying here a yearly thing.

Fun Girls Weekend!
Stayed here with some girlfriends for a few days while camping. We loved the little cabin and hammock area. Do be aware it is right next to a highway, so it was loud. Chelsi does a great job making sure your stay is good!

Cute treehouse stay with everything we needed
We packed our family of four into this cute treehouse spot. It was super clean and tidy, and had thoughtful touches throughout. We loved sitting on the hammock chairs and grilling meals outside. The bathhouse was especially well thought out and nice. The shower was hot and the hand towels and beautiful sink felt like a luxury in the woods. The host was friendly and warm and has made this campground a labor of love with personal touches throughout the land. We had a lot of fun.
