Hotel quite nice and comfort. Good location near tram station.. Walking distance to albert cyptmarket.. If have a kettle to make hot drinks will be appreciated. And the heater is not working during our 3days stay.. Too cold at night.
Room was clean, bed comfortable enough, but very basic for the exorbitant price, shower unreliable (cold), no way to get hot drink if breakfast not included, Expedia did not warn me breakfast not included, my card was charged extra 20 Euros after booking no explanation, no warning of poor internal access (I am disabled), staff rude and unsupportive and uninformative. What a rip off.
I stayed at a Room with private room, somehow small but very comfortable. Great hotel for a short stay in the city. Very close to downtown (10 min in tram, or 30 min walking).
WiFi doesn't have good reach on the third floor though...
We had a lovely experience, we found a charming little market 2 minutes down the road from the hotel and there’s a local store opposite the hotel. The photos were a little deceiving as the photos (the breakfast room leading into a nice garden) were not in fact in the hotel but a few minutes walk over the canal into the ‘sister’ hotel. Despite this, we were welcome to use these facilities and they were good. The hotel is very convinently placed near a tram stop (I’d highly recommend buying a ticket) which went right into town and all around. We had a lovely holiday.

Disliked: Staff & service
good location hotel not good
20 mins walk into central amsterdam, no reception or anyone based at hotel for any help you need to go to the sister hotel iris, the toilet was inside the shower, and sink in the bedroom, i didnt think that was nice. first night no towels in room , the only good thing was location
I wonder if the owner has ever stayed in this hotel? It's a cramped, mean conversion of a townhouse which lacks any kind of thought or attention to detail. Paper thin walls, cheap bed which slides around the floor on castors, no drinking mug (even a disposable cup would have been OK), no spare toilet roll, no chair of any sort, cheap thin window curtain with a floodlight right outside, TV unusable.
It would be very poor value at half the rate I was charged.
We found this hotel to be loud, noisey and would not stay here again. There was a lot of crashing and banging from doors and the rooms throughout the night. There was very limited facilities and the place could have been cleaner. Seemed more like a hostel.
The check in is so confusing. When you go to the sister hotel (Hotel Iris) it looks like there is no check in there. They don't tell you that you have to go downstairs. So go downstairs when you get there. The wifi was also very terrible, which is a little disappointing. I didnt have unlimited phone service so I couldn't really even stay in touch with anyone at home. The hotel is fine and the location is decent as well. It's a little overpriced for what you get, in my opinion.
The hotel was in a convenient location. Great little supermarket and cafe across the road. Good shower, but flooded the bathroom floor and each time. For a four day stay for 2 people the room was too small. Would have been OK for one night or one person.
No coffee or tea making facilities in the room or building.
We checked in Iris hotel where the receptionist was really kind and polite.
The room was quiet tiny but not to bad to stay two nights.
The rooms on the stairs are noisy, we could feel all the people walking on the stairs.
Clean room. Nice area where you can walk for about 30 min til centre.
Very disappointed with this hotel. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, unless you are used to sleeping on the streets. In that case it would be an upgrade. Move along.
As expected, this hotel room was relatively small, but it was as described. The room was clean and the staff were very nice. The location was good, since it was in the city of Amsterdam--within walking distance of attractions interesting neighborhoods. We did have a couple of issues, however. 1) It happened to be pledge week and the hotel is right next door to a sorority house. We experienced some loud parties, especially the first night we were there. 2) The windows can be opened to let in cool air (no air conditioning or fan). However, as seems to be typical of some European houses, there are no window screens. So the mosquitoes can come in and feast, which is what they did to us the first night we were there. We kept the windows closed after that, which made the room somewhat hot.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Friendly staff
There is only one or two staff to help in the reception for 3 different hotels. We stayed at the Floris Hotel but we need to go to Hotel Iris to check in. Even though we can't check in on time, as limited number of staff to clean the room. Staff are always trying their best to help. We do appreciate they did a great job. Although the location is not very close to the the city centre, there are lots of cafes, restaurants and supermarket around that area. Will recommend people for short stay.
We had a pleasant stay at the floris, room was clean and decent size. The only thing would be that they don't have an elevator and if your room is at the top floor (4th), carrying your luggage up is a bit of a challenge. Overall a nice hotel.
If you are planning to check in before 5pm, you can do the check in at floris. However, if you are arriving early and want to store the lugguage to do a bit of sightseeing first, then you need to go to iris. As the reception will open until 10pm.
The room is small but this is something expected in amsterdam. I could still manage to open my large suitcase without a problem. The stairs are narrow and steep. If you planned to travel with a large suitcase, remember to request a room located in lower floor (that's what i did). It would be to far to walk to dam square but it is only about 10 minutes walk to museumplein.
I and my friend did the last min reservation, choose this hotel was basically because of its location and "THE PHOTOS OF THE ROOM LOOK CLEAN AND NICE" however, its wasn't, the room is dusty, old and dirty. and we found bed bug. we couldn't sleep well in the whole night. Also, its extremely noisy in the midnight til morning, you can hear people talking on street and the noise from the room next to us. Please notice that the price of the room is not that cheap, around 80euro, but with this kind of home, NOWAY ANYMORE.
However, the staffs were nice and helpful
The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the centre but to get there you walk across the canals which was lovely. I like the fact its slighty away from the centre as it is a bit quieter but is in easy reach of accessing the centre. The room was clean and nice and lidl is across the road so was handy. We went as a couple so was ideal for us.
