Short Stay in Amsterdam
We stayed at the WestCord City Centre in Amsterdam for a couple of days following the end of a Rhine River cruise. Hotel was in a nice, convenient location to the train station and easy access to the city. Hotel itself was nice, clean, friendly staff. Our room was a bit small, but not unusual for a city hotel (I've stayed in hotel rooms in NYC that were much smaller).

Customer service supervisor in the front desk was not helpful. Wanted to add one guest to reservation of a room with a queen bed and it took three calls from Expedia for them to agree to let me give them my credit card to pay for the breakfast for the additional guest. It was terrible customer service and seemed like she was shaming me for wanting to add a guest to my reservation. I really wanted to check out ASAP but most places were booked because of the dance festival. Room was ok. The space between the shower and the sink that leads to the toilet is super small. A pregnant person or a person that is bigger, would not have been able to use the toilet.

This is a great hotel which close to all attractions, near central station, the staff are super nice and helpful, it is very safe because you need to have your room key in order to open the front door, the staff always at the front counter to check if you are their customers, the breakfast was good. If I do come back then I will stay at this hotel.

This is a great hotel! Walking distance from Centraal Station with lots of restaurants and supermarkets next to the hotel. The staff at the hotel are fantastic! Extremely kind, friendy, helpful and give you a service with a smile! If you arrive before check-in, they will store your bags securly. The room... For me a little disappointing but I must stress this is only relevant to someone who's over 6ft and a large person like me... The room was clean but a little small. It was a nice modern room but the things we didn't like: 1) the design of the room - the footside of the bed is pushed against the wall, so not ideal if you're over 6ft like me as I couldn't sleep straight or stretch... Also the pillows weren't the most comfortable, so over the 3 nights we stayed, we didn't sleep well at all. 2) the TV didn't work - it said weak signal/no ariel... We weren't in the room too much as we were out exploring, so we didn't end up raising this with Reception as it wasn't a big issue - but it would have been nice if this had been checked and working before we'd checked in. 3) the biggest flaw of this room was the location of the toilet. The bathroom was nice but the toilet had been installed inbetween a pillar and the shower cubicle. This made it really difficult and uncomfortable to use the toilet. So, unless your slim or a child - it's a tight squeeze. 4) the room and bathroom is divided by a frosted glass wall. Unless your staying a partner, not ideal as you can see a silhouette.

Hotel is in a great location. Easy walking distance to train terminal and tram station is right out front. Super small rooms though, but maybe that is typical for Amsterdam hotels. Room was so small (and we booked the double room city view which was supposed to be 205 sq ft with 2 twin beds) that we couldn't separate twin beds and bathroom has glass wall so no privacy at all. Couldn't open door once our suitcases were in the room. Thank goodness we were only there 2 nights!

Not a four star hotel.
We stayed here for the first time and I won’t be staying back here. The room was cold, we had to keep ringing to ask to put the heating on as our dial wasn’t working. I asked for a bucket of ice as I had damaged my foot and couldn’t walk on it and they told me I had to come down for this, eventually they came to give it me after 30 minutes. The room was not cleaned properly, left dirty cups and stains on the bed sheets. Best thing about this hotel was the location as it walking distance from where you need to be. The breakfast staff were lovely.

The staff were incredible and really catering! I was able to check in early and I informed them it was my birthday. I arrived and they had left balloons, a card and a gift it was so wonderful! The room was really nice and clean, lots of amenities and the bed was comfortable. Completely soundproof and with a nice view!
