Positives & Negatives at Blu Mar H10
We were upgraded to a suite for what was the first 2 nights but a travel delay meant it was one night so I queried on check in about having to move to another room after just 24 hours stay and was told we just had to. So not a great start having to pack up and move. We were giving a complimentary evening meal for the inconvenience but I’d have just enjoyed settling into one room for what was only a 3 night stay. The opportunity of an upgrade being a Platinum member is only a treat if it’s for the duration of the stay ! The food was the highlight at this hotel as it was excellent. The suite on night one had an old shower over bath which posed a slip hazard for us. We found the superior sea view to have a modern shower and refurbished bathroom but the bed has no support at the back and moved away from the wall so was uncomfortable. Check out day leaves us with a lasting memory. The luggage store is dirty and unkept. The shower facility in the spa area is very hot and actually a big risk for a loan female showering so publicly with men using the gym area. Then the worst part is once showered there’s absolutely no air con in the toilets where you dry and then in the whole of the reception / bar area so we disappointedly waited and sweated before our coach to the airport . It can be hours before getting home for many travellers and having zero air con is a big inconvenience once you are set to travel. We did note reception staff have air con right at their own area. Good & Bad !!!
