Nestled in the woods on the Southern Illinois Wine Trail you will find your home away from home. Our fully furnished homes come with a large covered porch, with a lit up walk way leading you to the fire pit area and a hot tub . Both our cabins come with two bedrooms (queen beds in both), full bath, and a beautiful open kitchen and dining area. Our secluded cabins are a great place to escape, enjoy tasting local wines, dinner out at unique local restaurants or maybe stay in and relax next to the fire place with a good book or movie.
Tämä mökki on saanut mahtavaa palautetta sijainnistaan. Majoituspaikka sijaitsee vain lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä kohteesta Shawnee National Forest. Majoituspaikassa on saatavilla poreallas. Mökissä tarjoaa asiakkaiden käyttöön muun muassa keittiön ja takan.

Peaceful Paradise

This was our first time staying at the cabin and we can’t wait to plan our next trip back! The cabin is adorable and equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was so relaxing! We loved coming back to the cabin after visiting a few wineries and relaxing on the porch!

Clean and quiet

We loved our stay at the cabin, we got to use the hot tub a few times which has a nice view of the woods. The cabin was very clean and spacious. It was close to many wineries but nice to have a quiet wooded spot. Thanks!

Quiet stay in a small town

Had a nice stay in a cute little cabin in the woods. Only downside I would say is the location, it’s literally a cabin in the woods. Not saying that’s a bad thing, at certain times of the year you may need a 4x4 vehicle to get in and out. We had a little Prius and the roads were a little muddy. Otherwise nothing but great things to say, would return in the future.. would highly recommend the giant state park restaurant, get the chicken!!! Also the iron whisk for a nice breakfast spot.

Sweet cabin in the woods

Super sweet cabin with privacy and a hot tub. Very clean and well kept property. Spacious enough for 2 couples but cozy enough for just one. Very close to Star View. Cant wait to come back!

Great for a Quiet Getaway!

The cabin was very clean and cozy. The decor was perfect. The layout was nice, especially the open floor plan. The hot tub is spectacular - lights, lots of modes, great temperature control. No WiFi, which we knew in advance, and used our Hotspots on our phone. The TV was listed as a Smart TV, so we thought we could watch Netflix and other apps that we have subscriptions to at home, but the stations were through an antenna and very limited and the reception was spotty. Not a deal breaker for us but might be something others would want to know. We had neighbors at the nearby cabin, but we never heard them, and we didn't think the cabins were too close together at all. The cabin and outdoor spaces felt very private. The lighting inside and outside of the cabin was great! Lots of choices to set whatever kind of ambiance you are wanting. We stayed three nights during the week of Thanksgiving. It was great!

Relaxing stay

I stayed here two nights with my daughter and my aunt. The first thing I will say is we felt very safe at this location being three women traveling together. The cabin is tucked back in nature but not too far from anything you might want to do. My daughter is a student at SIU and we chose to stay here over a hotel for a new experience. It is about 25 minutes from campus and well worth the drive. The cabin itself was clean and just perfect for a weekend away. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We soaked in the hot tub and enjoyed the fire pit. Make sure you bring your own wood or purchase some at a local gas station before you come. We are already making our plans to stay here again! Highly recommend!

Cozy cabin

Nice relaxing weekend

Had a 3 day a weekend away, this cabin was the answer, very clean, peaceful, hot tub was perfect. Winery a quick drive up the road. Will be coming back soon.
