Early Thanksgiving
This was our second stay at this property. We celebrated an early Thanksgiving with a sick family member. The property is set with the redwoods in the back, a deck and porch to enjoy the healing and quiet surroundings. The house provides every amenity., the beds comfortable, lots of seating in living room and family rooms, bathrooms supplied personal toiletries, and kitchen completely stocked with everything we needed for our Thanksgiving gathering. It was truly a perfect time for us. We highly recommend this property for your next stay in the Arcata area.togethrr.nealevery

Healthcare Visit
We came into town...parents, uncles and aunts to visit with my ill brother. The house was spacious with EVERYTHING that you need, the deck was amazing with a space for everyone, gas fire pit and rocking chairs were a hit! We were greeted by two deer in the front yard, then two more in the driveway when we came back from the grocery store. So amazing!! We took daily walks in the community redwood forest DIRECTLY IN THE BACKYARD! Everything about this property breathed life into all of us. Would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect for a holiday getaway!
This spacious and beautiful property was a joy to spend Christmas week at. My family and I found the house very clean and cozy. They even left on Christmas music for our arrival! There was plenty of space for us to spread out, but the main living room was also a cozy option with the fireplace. The biggest bonus was access to the community forrest, right behind the property! It felt like we were stepping directly onto the Avenue of the Giants.

Cleanliness was top notch. The kitchen was well stocked. Gas stove made the TV room very cozy. Location was wonderful and quiet being at the end of the subdivision and adjacent to the Arcata Community Forest. Great yard. Especially liked the huge redwood stump in backyard. Very well maintained deck with nice outdoor furniture. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend to our friends. Please pass along our thanks to the owners.

Cal Poly Humboldt Visit
The home was beautiful and comfortable. It was really close to local hiking trails which we enjoyed and close to campus. The neighborhood is also beautiful and very, very quiet which is a bonus but you need to be careful of any level of noise at all while on the deck even during non-quiet hours. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Really is a house in the forest
A clean, lovely home with a good kitchen, gathering spaces and comfortable furniture. You really can walk right out the door into the Arcata Community Forest and look at redwoods. Plan to unplug (i.e. don't try to work from here), internet works fine but not for calls or streaming, and we didn't get cell phone service in the house. It's slightly dim indoors (not much windows or strong lights) but for a vacation in the woods that felt thematic and soothing to us. And it is quiet. We liked Arcata too, it has better cafe and restaurant options than other towns of comparable size possibly because it's a college town. If you plan to cook the kitchen is well equipped, and I recommend the excellent bulk section of the North Coast Co-op so you can get spices and staples without buying more than you need.

Magical slice of Redwood Paradise
This gorgeous rental is feet away from Arcata Community Forest, and all the trails therein. The home itself is lovely, with all the modern amenities, but it is full of antiques and beautiful vintage furniture, further extending the time capsule that Humboldt County is known for. The Managing company was hugely helpful and more than accommodating. We will most definitely seek them out again for future rentals. Seriously thinking of making this home a yearly vacation zone.

Beautiful home in the forest and near the highway
This house is amazing. Three bedrooms and very quiet. We hardly heard each other. Back yard is literally a redwood forest. Kitchen and house are well equipped for a week stay. Data is sketchy so be sure folks back home know your phone is not going to work all of the time.

Great surprise in Arcata
We've been coming to Arcata for the last 4 years to watch our nephew play soccer at HSU. We just discovered this property as he is graduating and we feel like such idiots! Beautiful home, wonderful location, and so conveniently located to downtown and the university. Incredible hiking/biking literally behind the home as well as all of the total home experiences you would expect where you live...great place!

Wonderful house, amazing location!
We only had one glitch and that was that the house wasn't cleaned when we arrived. BUT one call had 3 ladies come out on their day off in the evening, and make everything spic and span in record time! The house is BEAUTIFUL! The inside definitely shows the character and history of the owner, which made it interesting. Everything that we needed was there. The extra plus for this property is that the Redwood Forest is literally at your back door! Tons of trails, and you just step out and are immersed in peace and beauty and awesome creation! We enjoyed our stay immensely, and would encourage you to go with this property. Great location for seeing all the coastal interests and plenty of access to the Redwood Groves less than 1/2 hour away. We also enjoyed Trees of Mystery with our 11 year old. Great place! Definitely 5 stars +!

Absolutely beautiful home!
Our family was absolutely stunned by the beauty of this relaxing home! We enjoyed the cozy environment inside the home and the most beautiful yard and neighborhood outside! We also enjoyed the Community Forrest trail so close and easy to access!! We all immediately felt right and home as we entered the front door and did not want to leave when our stay was over! The amenities offered and ease of using them were a pleasant addition! We look forward to staying at this home in the future and felt so grateful for the opportunity to stay in such a magical place!!

Much-needed Family Getaway
Our family enjoyed our driving vacation to Arcata and the location of this home. It was close to town but minutes away so we felt like we were in the quiet mountains and forest. The Community Forest and trails we’re directly behind the property so it was easy to walk right out the back door to do a walk. We enjoyed our week long stay at this comfortable home.

Beyond Incredible...
I really can’t put into words how amazing this home is. The location is spectacular; it is in the hills of Arcata. I lived in Arcata (many years ago)🙂, and I didn’t know this neighborhood existed. It is a quiet residential area, with the most beautiful redwood trails literally in the backyard. We spent many hours exploring with the kids. The house itself is by far the best rental home we have stayed at, and we have stayed at many homes! It is spacious, clean, and equipped with anything you could possibly need. If I could give this home 10 stars, I would! We cannot wait to go back and stay here once again.
