This beautiful, all cedar in and out, main level living with loft, private beachfront home features floor to ceiling windows looking directly out onto the ocean. Enjoy a lovely meal on the spacious back deck, or relax in the hammock to the sound of the waves. Nestled next to Oswald West State Park and Arch Cape Creek you will experience privacy as well as breathtaking views. Explore the hundreds of sea creatures nestled around the rocks at low tide or step off the deck onto the sand for a walk along the beach. Enjoy an evening on the beautiful Oregon Coast with a fire on the beach. The quiet neighborhood of Arch Cape offers the perfect combination of beach time and easy access to the quaint towns of Cannon Beach and Manzanita. Enjoy cooking in our kitchen on our new 48” Wolf gas range with 4 burners, a grill, a griddle and 2 electric ovens. An extra large Subzero refrigerator and a beverage fridge make this a chefs dream kitchen.Have a meal or just relax on the deck with a magnificent view and sounds of the ocean. Warm yourself by the large stone fireplace in the living room or switch on the gas fireplace in the primary bedroom for a cozy evening.

Girl’s Weekend

Perfect family vacation
We have been coming to Arch Cape for many years. After outgrowing our prior vacation rental, we found The Happy Clam and booked. It was perfect for our family and we are excited to return. The home is very well kept and lovely. We had everything we could possibly need in the kitchen plus lots of books and games to keep us entertained. The weather was horrible but we didn’t expect a lot of beach time in November anyway and just enjoyed our family time.

The Happy Clam is our new Happy Place!
I’ve been going to the Oregon Coast for decades but had never stayed in Arch Cape, but when I came across the pictures of The Happy Clam, I knew it would be perfect for my family. What should have been a group of 6 dwindled down to just me and my husband, this house would have comfortably housed us all. So many amenities in this place, literally steps from a quiet end of beach, and on a quiet street, this place is a true sanctuary. The host and property manager are THE best, we’re so responsive and the check in instructions were so helpful. I am in love with this property and cannot wait to go back!! It’s definitely my new Oregon Coast happy place!

Best views and home in Arch Cape!
Our family of 8 adults all loved the Happy Clam! The house, deck and views are even better than the pictures. The open floor plan, deck and expansive kitchen were perfect for a large family or group. Being the end house on beach was very peaceful, with great access to the gorgeous beach. At low tide we walked for over 4 miles exploring caves, tidepools and gorgeous hillsides. We would highly recommend and hope to return.

Magical Stay on the Coast
My family gathered for a five-day event and stayed at the Happy Clam. We absolutely loved the ocean-front property and access just steps away from the home. We had a mix of generations and everyone found the home to be clean, spacious and comfortable. Plenty of space to spread out, and even if you have a full house like we did it still felt very open. The property manager was prompt when texted and we were able to find everything we were looking for. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a very nice stay at this property. The location is perfect…steps from the beach, beautiful view, tide pools without the crowds. House was very nice inside with plenty of room for our family. The deck is a great place to relax while looking out in the ocean.

The house worked very well for our family’s week long stay at the Oregon Coast. It is situated at the very south end of Arch Cape and at times made it feel as if we had the entire little corner all to ourselves. The house is nicely remodeled and oriented to the view. It has a true chefs kitchen; which our family appreciates. Great experience!

Family Memories
The Happy Clam was the perfect place for our family to gather together and make some great memories. This property was the perfect home base as we explored the Oregon Coast. It was just as advertised, perfect location, clean, tastefully decorated and well stocked. Our family loved it and we are sure yours will as well. nice home but very disappointing experience
Upon arrival we noticed several things that led us to believe the home wasn’t cleaned properly - used bobby pins and hair ties on the window ledge in the primary bedroom, empty la croix cans in the loft, etc. we didn’t report it because it wasn’t a huge deal and we never want to be annoying guests (this was a mistake.) The coffee maker didn’t work, several outlets did not work, and the windows in the primary don’t open because they’re crusted shut, presumably from sea air. Staying on the coast and listening to the ocean at night is truly the best, so this was a bummer , but again, not a huge deal. We just chose to open the door instead of messing with the crusty windows . The views are nice and the little things didn’t matter that much — until we were slapped with an $800 bill for “breaking” blinds on windows we didn’t touch , without any sort of heads up or communication ahead of a false $800 claim. Our group consisted of my parents (both over 70) and my inlaws (both over 65) and our two children. My mom is a clean freak and left the space cleaner than we found it (including tossing la croix cans from previous guests.) This is a nice house in a pretty location but the views aren’t worth the risk of a host trying to pin an absurd charge on a guest with zero proof. If you decide to stay, inspect every nook and cranny and report what you find immediately. We won’t be back.

The Happy Clam was the perfect place for us to gather with our 7 children, 2 son in laws, and 2 grandsons. Tidal pools, sunsets, beach bonfire, MO’s, Cannon beach shopping, and waterfalls. Loved loved loved this place. Wish I could stay forever. Perfect location, not too far from stores or restaurants, Tillamook, and way better views than anywhere we went. Awesome job on decor and setup, well provisioned kitchen. I've stayed at a lot of STRs and this is the only one I'd actually come back to again. Thanks for a great stay!

Amazing view
The house had amazing views. Very easy access to the beach for walks and exploring. We lucked out on the weather. Only rained the first night and next morning but nice the rest of the time. Great sunsets. House had plenty of room for my whole family. Large house but very cozy. Kitchen appears new with lots of amenities. Would highly recommend the house.
