Wonderful tranquil setting with very helpful staff and excellent facilities. The breakfast was pretty poor but apart from that everything was wonderful!
This is a hostel that offers more than a 3-star hotel. Nice and clean amenities and rooms, friendly staff, in summary a great option for anyone traveling to Salento
Location was at the top of the town which was great. Very sociable hostel for a solo traveller with many free organised activities per day to make friends and try new things. Staff were amazing.
Great Hostel with stunning views specially in the morning. Special thanks to Juliana for her coffee tasting class and to Juana for going above and beyond to help me with everything!
I got a private superior room and was super comfortable!
Hostel is a bit if a walk from bus station if you have heavy suitcases/backpacks, and up an incline. Hostel itself is ok, although can be cheaper for what is offered. No free coffee/tea or towels. Bathrooms are often dirty. It is ok for a few days.
I had a wonderful two-night stay at Viajero Salento Hostel in July 2021. The property is lovely and located less than a 10-minute walk from Salento's central square. My private room was lovely with a comfortable bed and a patio with an incredible view of the beautiful landscape. The real showstopper, though was the staff. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and cared for, from check-in to check-out. Just one example of the staff's great service: they prepared my breakfast at seven on my check-out day even though breakfast usually doesn't start until eight. I'd highly recommend staying here.
Unfortunately my passport was stolen on the bus from Armenia to Salento, but the staff were extremely helpful to assist me with getting it back. They worked all day to help translate and arrange pickup and delivery of the stolen passport from the thief who wanted money in return. The hostel has a great vibe, a beautiful view, good breakfast, and warm showers! Highly recommend!
Nice, relaxing stay in a well run hostel. The hostel is of the older type found in Colombia rather the newer, more boutique style offerings found in some of the cities. This hostel is in an excellent condition, just off the main square in Salento where all the restaurants and transport options (Willies!) are to be found. The hostel is on the side of a hill so nice views over the surrounding areas. Nice, relaxed vibe throughout and a good bar on site. Reception staff were helpful and organised a coffee tour shortly after we arrived. Breakfast rather poor and lack of truly warm showers were only downside.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Property was well-located, close to the main square, and the bus from Armenia dropped us off right out front!
Ok hostel, didn’t really light an fire in me tbh. Its a 2 min walk from the main plaza. It has a lovely view. Dorm rooms are ok, beds are quite narrow and there are no rails so can easily fall out. The staff were helpful and friendly though. Especially when i had a melt down over a flight. Needed 2 blankets at night as it was chilly.
