This beautiful and quiet holiday apartment for a maximum of 8 people is located in Arnoldstein in Carinthia, right in the border triangle of Austria, Italy and Slovenia and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. The holiday apartment is on the first floor and has a spacious living room with a separate seating area, a well-equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and you can use the garden. Parking is available directly on site. The municipality of Arnoldstein is located in the Gailtal, and close by is the first Carinthian nature park, the Dobratsch, embedded in the beautiful lake district in Carinthia, as the easternmost peak of the Gailtal Alps. The gateway to the Villach Alps, the city of Villach with the Warmbad Villach and its thermal baths is also absolutely worth a visit! In summer, the Faaker See and Ossiacher See offer lots of swimming fun! The Dreiländereck / Arnoldstein ski area, the southernmost ski mountain in the Villach region, offers over 15 kilometers of slopes and 8 lifts, is a perfect family ski area and is located at an altitude of 680 to 1550 meters. There are plenty of shops for your daily needs right in town as well as a good selection of restaurants.

Not for summer holiday
We booked this place for a family of 5 plus two grandparents. The flat is really big but poorly laid out. It had four bedrooms but only one toilet, separate from the bathroom. It really needs another toilet, there is plenty of space! There was no book explaining how everything works, and the electricity cut out when we switched the cooker on, leaving us having to work out how to sort the fuse box ourselves. Boiler was not good enough for us all to have hot showers so some of us had to shower in cold water. The flat was so hot - there was no AC and only some of the windows have netting and even then, flies would come in and disturb us. The living room was not big enough for everyone. Lastly, there was no key to the upstairs flat so no privacy or security from the people who live downstairs. To be fair, we did not raise any of these issues, as we were only there for two nights in July. The location is good but the flat needs much improvement.
