Fantastic Mountainside Getaway
We had a great time staying here! It is obvious that the house is very well cared for. It is surprisingly spacious with an awesome mountain view. We had quite the itinerary but often opted just to stay at the house and enjoy it. Like others have said, it is a bit of a rough ride to get to it, but having lived in the mountains before, I expected that. Also previously mentioned, definitely get your groceries before arriving.

Peaceful Getaway
Driveway is a little tricky especially in the dark. Very quite, never could connect to the internet, guess that made it more enjoyable to be able to sit around & chat with each other rather than having our attention pulled in other directions.

Beautiful views in a nice well stocked modern cabin feel!!
My husband and I along with our 4 yr old and 9 month old stayed here for Labor Day weekend.. the house was super clean and well stocked! My son loved all the toys at the house and we found it very relaxing to open the glass doors( they had screen doors to keep closed)… and hear the sounds of nature and the rain storms! The playground there was cool and they pool was really nice. We would love to go back!

Peaceful setting, comfortable home
My family all loved this house and the quiet location. It was comfortable and squeaky clean, with plenty of kitchen and pantry items available. My teen didn’t find the daybed comfortable, but I was happy with the queen bed. Coming from the Midwest, we had a hard time with the steep winding road and getting in and out of the driveway took some practice. Due to covid, we had to change our reservation at the last minute - it was difficult and stressful to reach a human being, but once we did they allowed us to change without any problems. It is a 40 minute drive to Asheville due to the winding roads so if you want to be closer, this is not the place. But if you want comfortable and peaceful, you recommend it.

Perfect for families!
Highly recommended property for families with young children. We enjoyed the feeling of privacy and seclusion, but also having a pool/playground/sports court 10 minutes down the road. The house was full of toys and books, plus hammocks, basketball hoop, and a porch swing outside. Everything you need for cooking/grilling. Amazing views! Private road access to the Appalachian Trail and Big Bald (less than 2 miles roundtrip) was a highlight of the trip.

Lovely home
We really enjoyed our stay at this cute and lovely home. The house was comfortable and we really enjoyed the view from the porches. My children had fun at the community pool and the staff working there were very friendly. We hiked to Big Bald by joining the Appalachian trail from the road at the resort. The hike was pretty easy and the view was gorgeous. We hope to come back again one day.

I absolutely love this adorable cabin!
We went on a girls hiking trip and chose this cabin for its neutral location. Easy check-in, secluded but not lonely, everything you need. I would love to come back. Any feedback would be maybe adding more directions to the cabin itself, I know it takes a while and it’s really not hard to find, but, if you’ve never been and there’s no reception, it could be a little tricky. I arrived at dusk and was little frazzled when I made a wrong turn. There were black ants in the kitchen and bathroom but given the environment, they didn’t bother me as much as some of the other ladies.

Friends Getaway for Spring Hiking in the Smokies
Comfortable and unique rental property, clearly part of a happy family. : ) The views are sensational around the clock! We slept well and enjoyed our meals + hangout time there. A good home/base to explore the region - we hiked to waterfalls and through pine forests. Beautiful and amazing! The property is really high up and far away from the highways, though - on beautiful, but swerve-y mountain roads. Fair warning: Driving back tired in the dark each day was hard on the eyes and the nerves. But the views . . . Worth It!

Cozy House
Perfect little getaway. Cozy house with great views! It had everything we needed. Enjoyed a hike to High Rocks and loved the foosball table! Would be great in summer to enjoy golf, pool and horses, but all of that was closed for winter. The Ingles in Mars Hill was surprisingly well stocked with an awesome assortment of cheeses. We bought food and cooked dinner both nights. The wood burning stove kept the house toasty warm!

Nice place to get away from it all
This was a pretty, very comfortable property. It had nice outdoor areas. The kitchen was convenient and well stocked. We were a little disappointed that the swimming pool was closed for repairs and it was too wet to use the riding stable but the hike to the Bald was gorgeous. Only real issue was that Google maps kept trying ot send us to an alternate location and when I contacted the property host for help she couldn't provide any and just stopped communicating. We were left to beg directions from the security guard at the gate.

Quality Place, Accomodating Host
This is a quality place, inside and out. We enjoyed the fire pit, trampoline, foosball and incredible mountaintop views. The interior had everything we needed and was exceptionally clean. The property manager was easy to work with and accommodating. The property is not a member of the country club, though, so there are no golf/dining privileges.

Getaway from the City
My partner and I stayed at the Thompson’s property for a long weekend and had a wonderful time! The home is about a 15 minute drive up the mountain from the Wolf Laurel entrance, but the seclusion is worth it for the clean mountain air and views. Easy check in/out process, and Jennifer was very responsive when we needed her. Hope to be back soon!
