Good but can improve
My room was on floor 1, too close to the noisy street. The breakfast food was deficient and not good; they can improve here. The view from the top floor is spectacular, the best of the hotel. Location is perfect, right in front of an ancient park and Adrian’s gate. I would stay there again, but in a higher floor room. The front desk people were very friendly and informative.

They have an amazing continental breakfast every morning here on the rooftop restaurant. While you eat breakfast, you get to enjoy a beautiful view of the Acropolis, Athens Gate, Temple of Zeus from the rooftop. And most excursion pick up point is all within a block away from this hotel.

The hotel had amazing views, and the service was excellent. The breakfast on the other hand was awful. The pastries had been cooked long before and were hard. The fried eggs were hard, non of which had any liquid yoke. Other than breakfast, the hotel was great. The next place we stayed in Mykonos Had an absolutely amazing breakfast with fried eggs that had a runny yolk and a spread that was absolutely amazing and fresh.

Great Stay
This was a great hotel. Service was fast. I asked for extra towels and the towels were there in less than two minutes. It was clean and the views were amazing. Walking distance to the Acropolis was a plus. The double decker busses stop very close as well if you want to ride those. Food was great.

This was the perfect place to stay in Athens! Great staff and service. We received notifications regarding reservations for the restaurant months in advance. The view of the Acropolis from our room was incredible. The location is perfect walking distance to everything: The Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, Botanical Gardens, Parliament, Shopping and restaurants.

This was our second stay at the Athens Gate Hotel. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean. Roof top bar has great views of the Acropolis and the Temple of Zeus. Very handy location for Plaka, the Acropolis, Monastiraki and Syntagma Square. We’ve booked again for next year.

Was a amazing place to stay, only downside was the wifi wasnt the greatest. Full bars in the bathroom but when laying in bed best you'd get was 2 bars, maybe 3.

Nice hotel with great location
The staff was super nice. The location was very convenient to the acropolis. The rooms were very nice. Note that the rooms have views of the temple of Zeus not the acropolis. The upstairs restaurant has views of the acropolis. We had to leave before breakfast so they provided a nice breakfast to go which was very nice.

Great choice of hotel for a stay in Athens. Perfect location to visit the sites. Across the street from the Temple of Zeus. Right at the base of the Acropolis. Many great outside cafes close to the hotel. Easy access to city tour buses. The hotel staff were pleasant and the hotel was clean, comfortable, which made our stay and experience in Athens great.

We enjoyed our stay at Athens Gate! It’s in a great location - we were able to walk to everything with so many options for food nearby. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well. We did not mind but some people may - the noise from the traffic on the street can be loud if you are a light sleeper. Other than that everything was fantastic! Including the amazing view from the rooftop!
