We arrived late and the entire area looked like it wasn't a hotel. It felt very unsafe with a lot of transients on the streets and graffiti everywhere. I was very surprised. The rooms smelled like a swimming pool but they don't have a pool. My water did not get hot, and the room have quiet a few dents, bumps, holes, and other areas that need upkeep. The tissue box had exactly 3 tissues in it.

The hotel was great, and everyone on staff was fantastic. Ashley at the front desk recommended a lower floor due to one of the elevators being closed for renovations, I really appreciated that. The neighborhood is super convenient to downtown and public transport. The only parking is valet for $50 a day, but that's typical in downtown, and you can park at one of the MARTA stations outside town and take the train downtown. Unfortunately, the Underground and surrounding area hasn't been very well maintained (a common trait for areas built to host Olympic events after the games are over,) so there's a good amount of garbage and damaged sidewalks. You need to watch carefully where you walk to avoid tripping and falling. Also, because there is both the MARTA station and a ton of bus stops in the area (almost too many, I had some difficulty finding the correct bus stop at first,) there's quite a lot of poor and homeless people hanging out on the streets, waiting for buses. I've seen some people give lower ratings to the hotel because of this, but the hotel can hardly control the neighborhood, and the people I encountered at the bus stops were perfectly friendly. I don't consider it a problem at all, but if you're the kind of person who is put off by the poor/homeless, you may not like this location. Personally I loved it, will definitely stay again next time I'm in town.

Look like someone kicked in the door to our bedroom. Also the bed sunk in on my side, and there was a leak on the backside of the toilet that was dripping a huge pool of water all over the bathroom that I had to put a towel down to soak up, which I notified the staff of first thing in the morning our first night and nothing was done about it

The staff was extremely friendly and kind. I wish I got the name of the lady working the front desk because she was so lovely and deserves recognition! Obviously there are homeless people nearby as you’re in the heart of Atlanta, but they’re just people. If anyone insults this place because of the homeless nearby I’m personally sending you bad vibes. It was honestly a great stay and very comfortable, I’m only taking off a star because they seemed to have freshly steam cleaned the carpet before we got there and the entire floor was wet. I had to keep my shoes on the whole time because when I put my foot down my socks got moist. Aside from that it was great, and the free breakfast was very much appreciated after a night of rocking out at The Masquerade!!

Nice service in a dilapidated hotel. The desk staff and housekeeping staff were wonderful. Unfortunately it's a hotel keeping with the overall environment of downtown Atlanta; urban American decay.

The hotel room was decent. The smell of mildew was strong in the room. Only one elevator worked and with 17 floors there was a wait. The front desk worker was quick to get us checked in so that was appreciated since we drove for most of the day. It wasn’t bad but there is some work that can be done to make it a better experience.

Although the breakfast was good, pantry staff looked unwelcoming. Also, crew don't smile as if they hate to work especially the lady cleaner with the trolley. Why do they look upset? And Only one elevator is working so we have to wait forever because we at 17th floor. 😂 And just as you go out of the hotel, it looks unsafe so be alert. But overall, i could say our hotel room is spacious for a family of 5.

Bel Hôtel avec personnel sympathique
Bel Hôtel, le personnel est très cordial et sympatique. Les déjeuners étaient bons mais de base. Cependant, ce fut bruyant dû à l'événement de musique africaine 2 soirs/nuits. Aussi les 2 ascenseurs étaient non fonctionnelles, nous devions monter et descendre 6 étages. Staff de sécurité rassurant sur place. Bien situé, tout près du métro et stationnement pour notre véhicule à 30$/nuit.

This was a horrible stay. First checking in took 45 minutes. There was one elevator working for a building that has 17 floor. On Saturday we were waiting 20 minutes for a elevator. Last i called down to the front desk a total of five time for wash clothes and towels. Two of those times the front desk hung up on me. This Saturday night around 6pm. We did not receive the wash clothes and towels. I woke Sunday morning and attempted one more try. I called the front desk and was told i would have to come down and get them myself. I went on downstairs because i understood the service at this hotel was a horrible and it was not going to get in better. I WOULD NOT STAY HERE EVER AGAIN.

The desk workers were great and helpful, Roderick and Malba. Walked in the light wasn’t working. Only one elevator worked. The breakfast staff would rush you out if we were sitting just talking and eating our breakfast. The staff turned the lights off while we was still sitting there eating. It’s not a place you want to stay with kids or handicap people. There is a $50 mandatory valet parking per night.
