The beds and pillows were comfortable, the room was clean. That’s where the best efforts end.
The front desk was friendly but apparently powerless to address many of the concerns we brought to their attention.
After arriving in room 1411 we were immediately assaulted by clanging, bumping water pipes in the walls. So loud we had to change rooms. The next room 2200 had a better view, yeah, but still, the very busy plumbing persisted, just not as loud.
In 2200 the shower did not function! I was told that it would be fixed right away sir! It was not! Nothing.
So good luck getting a quiet functioning room.
We pre purchased our breakfast on the web site. It would seem that may not sit well with the wait staff.
After seating ourselves in the restaurant and informing them that we were pre paid, we were summarily ignored. Having to ask and wait for every little thing, like the menu, salt/pepper, coffee, cream for coffee, butter for toast, you see? Only then having to get up track things down anyway. Oh, and no refills coming our way. So yes. The service in both restaurants was ridiculously bad.
The valet staff were good. The parking fees however were just insane! I’ve paid less to park in Manhattan! $69 plus tax! Wow what a rip off.
I know I’ll probably get a candy coated, political response from management about how they’re so sorry our expectations weren’t met, blah blah, it’s all meaningless when you spend 3 days in a clanging bumping room, without a working shower.
