Definitely a blast from the past. Showboat is on its way out but still a serviceable place to stay when seeing a show at Ocean or gambling at Hard Rock.

we stayed in the family suite. we stayed her becuase this is the only hotel that allows dogs. the suite looks nothing like the picture. everything is old, worn, outdated. if the propoerty is old, you got to make sure that it stays clean at least. the hotel barely functions. id never come back here.

The neighbors were noisy , children playing in halls during sleep hours on floor 11 , managemenr should monitor . Also thought I paid for a high floor and as put on floor 11 . One of my pillows was dirty . Indoor water park is only worth the discount price , pool was cloudy , advertisement says the largest ,definitely not the largest at all. Temperature in indoor park was not warm enough , however due to cold weather maybe it was hard to maintain .

Showboat and Island Waterpark
Was nervous based on the reviews for both the Island Waterpark and the stay at Showboat. Was impressed by both. The rooms was updated and clean (ocean view). The arcade was great for the kids. The Waterpark was great (though wouldn't recommend for kids under 42 inches as not a lot to do). It was 15 degrees outside the day we went and inside the Waterpark it was nice and warm. Everything was clean and there was lifeguards everywhere.

Pro it’s a great time for the family. Waterpark was fun, there is a huge arcade, mini golf, skating, and go carts.. Con hotel includes nothing at all in its price.. the hotel itself had one restaurant which was closed Friday by 8:30pm even though their signs said 10pm and the arcade and the play area was open til 12am so there was no food option in the hotel itself to get my kids food after that.. also no microwave anywhere to warm up any food either… Had a great time with the amenities but would recommend staying at another hotel that includes more food options and things in their price and just visiting for the kid activities The arcade n waterpark offer free parking when so much money is spent but the hotel charges guest $25 a day No room service options either

My overall stay was OK. The only issue was with the beds not having a plastic protector on them. It's so unsanitary for hotel beds not to be properly protected. Additionally, the beds did not have a fitted sheet. It only came with a top sheet tucked into the sides. sheet. This is a huge risk for germs and bedbugs.
