Movenpick is my hotel of choice whenever I visit Ackland. Conviniently located at the Commercial Bay area for business meetings and dining options, Rooms are on the small side but totally adequate as I only use them for sleeping.

Great place to stay in the CBD to be close to many restaurants and shopping! Rooms are nicely equipped and modern. Staff were super helpful. Be sure to not skip chocolate hour at 3pm!

This is not a 5 star property.. Rooms are a bit dated. Looking at the quality of the furnishings, quality and lack of amenities, level of cleanliness overall - this property is a 3 star at best and should be advertised as such. Location is great with access to shopping and restaurants in both Britomart and the Viaduct areas and staff at the front seat are friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay at Movenpick for my birthday. We enjoyed chocolate hour from 3-4pm at the top floor restaurant. They rooms were small but well laid out so did not feel cramped, the bed was comfortable. It is an easy walk to the viaduct for dinner options. We used the valet parking which was efficient and had the buffet breakfast again at the top floor restaurant and enjoyed the view of the water. We would stay again.
