Tiny, old and needs a serious reno (or knockdown). One night we were descending in the lift from the 14th floor when at floor 9 the lift jerked and got stuck between floors. When I pushed the emergency button it restarted and we continued to the ground floor. Cost us $60 for 2 X nights parking next door with the hotel's discount. We had a 1mtr X 1mtr "smoking platform" outside the room.

It was cheap and clean. Toilet was kind of small like an aeroplane, has the shower and toilet all in one. It worked for a short stay and it was nice to have a "Homebase". Staff stored our bag for us even after checkout which is super helpful.
- upon arrival to room bed looked like it had been laid in. As I arrived at 1:00am the next day after a delayed flight I just wanted to go to bed.
- only 1 lift working on check out, taking 48mins to get from lvl 17 to the ground floor
- milk packets opened and used in room On arrival to room
This was perfect for my stopover. The price was good and the unit on 14th floor was excellently clean, the bed superior, top quality linen and pillows. The bathroom had been refitted with spotless facilities, great hot water flow and plush towels. I think that it is priced budget because of the as age of the building and smaller room. i will be rebooking when making an AKL stopover. The staff were excellent.
