It was clean. The laundry convenient. Close to work. Lots of good food and shopping in the area Staff that couldn't be more disinterested. They were present but in no way it service beyond a mirthless doing the necessary. Worse, the wifi was *terrible* Constantly went out. Netflix cut out on the TV. Forget working from your room.

Very dirty and hallways smelled of smoke and musk. The room itself was dirty in the corners and there were various stains on the wall and dead bugs. The shower was very loud and would scare my youngest. The shower would also not fully turn on, so the tub would get filled with water even though the drain wasn’t plugged.

This formerly great hotel needs help! Lots of things don’t work— card.readers for outside doors, carafes for hot water, sink stoppers, etc. And , breakfast starting at 7 a.m. is a nonstarter for anyone needing to be somewhere by 8:00 a.m.

Not good, won't be returning
Considering this hotel is in the Domain Austin area.... Not so good experience from the start, and left a lot to be desired for. The lobby and 1st floor smelled horrible, upon entry. like mold and old perfume. Even my son noticed and said it smelled like a PetSmart. As for my room(on 3rd floor), things didn't get any better: - touch up paint needed near bed and other places - shower falling apart at seam - unknown red stain in ceiling of shower. - saw a flying cockroach in my room LaQuinta desperately needs to update this hotel and it's HVAC system. Does not even remotely meet the experiences of being next door to the Domain.

When I first got there to check in they gave me key cards to the room they assigned me. I get to that room and someone is already staying in that room. The check in receptionist both seemed confused until the other realized she did assign someone that room but forgot to put in the system. Both girls gave out that persons name and were discussing the room number out loud. Very unprofessional. The doors around the property do not properly lock so anyone can just come in without a key card. Only one elevator worked. None of the ice machines were working.
