Great find for ACL weekend!
The place was exactly as described in a very quiet cute neighborhood. I was lucky it was just down the road from a friend’s apartment so our travel to ACL was an Uber ride away. The place is cute and so much more comfortable than a hotel. I hope this is an option the next time I’m in town.

LOVED IT!!!
This spacious yet cozy retreat felt like my own peaceful mini-world, nestled under a magical, lush tree canopy! I enjoyed relaxing on the private patio, virtually bringing the outdoors in through the wide open door. Surprisingly swift commute to downtown, abundant street parking, solid WiFi. Michael and Susan (sp?) live in the main house, welcomed me warmly, always responded promptly, eager to help ... even when I'd locked myself out late night, unaware not to lock the door from inside. I'll cross my fingers that I'll be welcomed to vacation here again should I return to Austin.

Perfect for my needs
Great location in a quiet neighborhood. The owner was really nice and extremely helpful. There were even some cold drinks waiting in the fridge after a long drive. It’s not a fancy place but very comfortable and homey. Kinda like staying at a relative’s house when you’re in town for a few days. Was perfect for one person.

Easy choice
The place was nice to stay in. Perfectly located so you can be close to downtown without being TOO close. The host was very accommodating with soaps and other toiletries supplied if needed. And the room was nice and comfortable.

All you need
We are frequent travelers, and have to say that this place is very well done and thought through. It is clean, quiet, and convenient, with plenty of space for two people. Coffee, beer, cooking oil, toiletries are all provided, as well as local travel books about the area. Would highly recommend

Lovely place
The Allandale cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we could have needed. Special touches, such as the sunhat and towel laid out for those who might want to sit in the small but comfortable outdoor space, were appreciated. The space is much bigger than it looks in photos. Host was very helpful.

Great Property, Close to everything!
I loved my stay! I was close to all my favorite Austin places. The property is also close to MoPac which makes traveling to other parts of Austin SUPER easy. The coffee and beverages were a welcoming touch. Highly recommend!

Allandale efficiency MIL house is mixed bag
There are lots of 5 star qualities to this place. #1 on the list is Mike. Super nice, helpful and friendly. #2 is the neighborhood. It’s quiet and safe. #3 it’s convenient to anything related to the UT campus and Loop 1 is just a couple of blocks away. The downsides are not deal killers, but better to be aware than get surprised #1 is the bathroom is small and the shower is tiny but it all works great. #2 The efficiency is at the back of Mike’s garage so when they leave at 8:00 in the morning, you will hear the car doors slam so don’t plan to sleep in. There would have been a 3rd negative but as I was leaving Mike pulled in with a new 50” TV to replace the small one that has been there. Overall it probably should not be a 5* quality place, but people matter and if I needed something, I would sure feel good knowing Mike is there and available.

Nice, quiet, roomy studio from an excellent host
The place is clean and spacious with everything anyone could need for an extended stay ... including a washer and dryer. Pleasantly stocked with coffee and treats. The private patio and grill is a nice plus too.
