Bad Kleinkirchheim, an absolute holiday oasis between mountains and thermal baths, is picturesquely embedded in the mountains of the Carinthian Nockberge on the south side of the Alps. As a district of Bad Kleinkirchheim, St. Oswald is located at the end of a quiet high valley, directly in the Nockberge Biosphere Park. St. Oswald and Bad Kleinkirchheim offer numerous hiking opportunities, 2 thermal baths, an 18-hole golf course and many opportunities for skiing. The Bad Kleinkirchheim ski area offers 103 kilometers of slopes and 24 cable cars and lifts. Another ski area in the immediate vicinity is the Falkert Ski Park at the Heidi Alm mountain resort with 11 kilometers of slopes. Directly in Bad Kleinkirchheim there are enough shops for daily needs as well as a good selection of restaurants.
