Sunset Shores - Water's Edge Cottage

Welcome to Water's Edge Cottage, part of Sunset Shores Resort, hosted by Simple Life Rentals. Nestled along 200 feet of private Kangaroo Lake waterfront, guests will enjoy swimming, water sports and fishing in the 1100-acre glacier-formed lake.

This cozy retreat offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, main living space, fully stocked kitchen and an enclosed porch so it’s perfect for families or small groups. If guests are not enjoying the great outdoors, enjoy entertainment on the Smart TV or DVD player. Your comfort is our priority!

We love our family dogs and welcome yours too! Your well-behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval. This property allows up to 2 dogs. There is a fee of $50 per dog/ per night, collected separately and approximately one week before your check-in date.

The seasonally installed dock accommodates guest's boats, with a nearby boat launch. The pier also provides a stunning view of sunsets. Guests will also enjoy shared amenities such as a fire pit with chairs and firewood, green space, sand box and swing set.

Kitchen Amenities:
The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, stove, oven and a toaster.
A traditional drip coffee maker, tea kettle and coffee bean grinder are provided.
Dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, baking sheets, kitchen towels, hot pads, blender, grill utensils and wine glasses are also at the property.
No ice maker provided.

Dock installed seasonally, dates fluctuate typically between Memorial Day and Labor Day
Dock offers sundeck, bench, stairs to water, multiple cleats, and a paddleboard rack
Watercraft docking is allowed and at renter’s risk
Water is approximately 2-3 feet deep at end of dock
Shore is rocky and water gradually deepens to about 10 feet
Lake is suitable for swimmable
Public Kangaroo Lake boat ramp is approximately 400 feet away

Provided:
• Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
• We provide a starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue.
• We supply one each of travel size shampoo, conditioner and bodywash per full bathroom.
• Due to health and safety guidelines made by the health department, all pantry items must be removed between guests. Please bring cooking essentials you might need such as cooking oil/spray, salt, pepper and other spices, sugar, etc.

Door County is full of many amazing things to see and do! We recommend that you check out Destination Door County, and the visitor's bureau online, to help map out your vacation. "Door County Vacationers" is also a great FB group to join to get recommendations on everything from favorite restaurants to favorite tours, places to rent boats, and things to do.

Some of our favorite restaurants include: Coyote Roadhouse (just down the road!), Husby's (Sister Bay), Island River Bar and Grill (Jacksonport), Wilson's Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlor (Ephraim) and Donny's Glidden Lodge Restaurant (Sturgeon Bay)
