I am incredibly disappointed with my experience trying to stay at the Baymont by Wyndham Bakersfield. The building was unstaffed, permanently closed, and in complete disarray when I arrived. I’m baffled as to how this property is still listed as an available hotel on Expedia. Allowing customers to book at a location that is clearly non-operational is unacceptable. This was a major inconvenience, and I urge Expedia to immediately remove this listing to prevent others from having the same frustrating experience.

We did not end up staying at this motel. We arrived around 1 AM due to a family medical emergency just down the road. That is why I selected this particular place to stay. However in the parking lot people were loitering. There were dirty mattresses leaning against the property. We got to our door and it looked as if someone had tried to break into it. The room itself was decent. We just did not feel safe enough to stay.

was skeptical because of some reviews. Outside property; is not appealing. Needs a lot of cleaning. There were people around the parking lot that we decided to bring all of our stuff in. The front desk; Thank you for getting up at 5am to check us in. The office was not open at all during our stayed. Whoever was at the night window seemed nice. The room; 2 queen beds, it was clean, good housekeeping there, it had a medium size fridge. Good AC, bathroom clean. Towels looked clean too, but when we travel by car we take our own towels and bedding, that's just how I am :). Comfortable beds too. The room had no remote control, we didn't mind it because we didn't spend that much during the day in the room, I did ask one of the housekeepers by she was new. I told the lady at the night window when I checked out. The room didn't have a bad smell either. We saw NO bugs in the room. If we ever need to come back here, we wouldn't mind staying again #203.

Located off a very busy main street and trash and old tires here and there it was not what I was expecting even from a 2 star establishment. The bed was comfortable but there was no coffee maker or microwave so what's the point of staying here ? It was only $54 and even cheaper if you look but my advice is to KEEP LOOKING. Oh yeah, there is NO breakfast or foyer, you pay thru a security window.
