One of the many wonderful services at this house is the private access to the amazing Ballena beach. The beach is 3 miles long surrounded by jungle and an amazing view of the three sisters and Ballena rock formations. All of our guests have raved about this beach as most likely you will only see a few other people on the entire beach.
We are located between Uvita and Ojochal in the Southern Pacific of Costa Rica, a spectacular 3 hour drive from the San Jose airport.
Walk or drive (2minutes) to your private entrance to the Ballena National Marine Park Beach. Experience the beauty of this wide 3 mile beach. Peaceful walks, boogie boarding basking in the sun and spectacular sunsets await you.
Main house has 3 bedrooms Add the CASITA for only an additional $100/nt. With 1 bedroom and it’s own very private additional pool. which will be billed separately. Ask for a quote on the configuration you need. (Casita is not rented without the main house)

We’ll be waiting for you at the curb.

The living areas feature an open concept perfectly suited for Costa Rican outdoor living. Our location takes full advantage of the constant breeze, fold open the retractable doors and feel it keep you cool. Our modern gourmet kitchen is fully equipped for any kind of cooking or baking and is configured with retractable glass windows to efficiently serve your outdoor dining on the covered deck. If you love to grill – you are covered in full. The propane grill has all of the equipment you need and the heat you want to make restaurant quality steaks, chicken and seafood. With one indoor living rooms with a large TV, and another outdoor seating area for relaxing and conversation. The security of this exclusive gated community provides you with a full sense of relaxation and serenity. The CASITA: For large groups in need of an extra bedroom, our casita can be booked for an additional fee of $100 per night. The addition of the casita takes La Experiencia from a three-bedroom luxury villa to a four-bedroom oasis set amidst the jungle of Costa Rica. This private suite has all the amenities of the main house, featuring a king-size bed, kitchenette, outdoor shower and a second plunge pool. Contact us for more information.
Relax, read or tan from any of our super comfortable pool deck chairs or chaise lounges. Cool off and enjoy a cold beverage from the edge of the infinity pool. You will not want to get out. Enjoy quiet time absorbing the sounds of the jungle in the palapa with the round swing bed; swing gently with the breeze and breathe. Sleeping is entirely possible!
Our Beach:
Hidden from your view by the jungle’s tree line is the gated access beach where you’ll spend time on the most beautiful beach in Costa Rica. A short trip down the hill will have you at the exclusive, gated entrance to the Ballena National Marine Park Beach. Merely park at the creek water's edge and walk 50 yards to the beach. The convenience is impossible to explain. From here you will experience the beauty of this wide 3-mile stretch of beach. Exercise, or take long peaceful walks, enjoy the modest waves in this sand bottom beach, or just bask in the sun. At days end, a spectacular sunset awaits you. The Tommy Bahama beach chairs, giant beach towels and boogie boards will go a long way toward making your day at this soft sand beach perfect in every way. Please don’t be surprised if you don’t see anyone else at this beach. The solitude here is simply stunning and our access to this beach is as exclusive as the house you are living in. Every day your group will experience early sunrises and fantastic sunsets beset with toucans, parrots and howler monkeys enjoying their lives in the jungle.
Area excursions include whale and dolphin tours, zip lining and canopy tours, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, hiking, Nauyaca Falls, world-famous beaches, surfing, wildlife tours, river rafting, sea kayaking, paddle boarding, bird watching, golf, horseback riding, festivals, and more. The Dominical/Uvita area also offers various yoga classes, retreats, and spas. We can make all reservations for you.
La Experiencia CR is located in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica, approximately a three and one-half hour drive from SJO Airport, and forty-five minutes south of the Quepos Airport. Villa de Experiencia is easily accessible from the Costanera Highway, only a short one-minute drive up the road.. Please note that roads in Costa Rica are often unpaved and a four-wheel drive vehicle is necessary for getting around and for access to the house. For ease of travel, airport transfers by private car can be pre-arranged to bring you directly to the villa and a rental car brought to you at the residence for you during your stay.
