Overall, a really nice property on Banff Avenue, walkable to the restaurants and shopping in downtown Banff or take the Bus no 1 from across the street from the hotel. The hotel gave me a 3 day complimentary pass which I used once, so if you are in the Banff area a lot, the pass can be made to good use.
Property was clean, the coffee shop is great and the restaurant attached to the hotel has delicious breakfast options. Their herbed breakfast potatoes a were super delicious, and definitely worth trying.
Downsides of staying in this hotel were very few - I couldn’t call the front desk from the hotel room phone because they had some telecommunication issues which the IT was working on. The hotel staff didn’t inform me about this issue until I reported to them. So, I called the front desk from my mobile. The fan in the AC goes off automatically to keep the room temperature at whatever temperature it was set to in the thermostat. That was a little annoying to me because I felt cold whenever it went off and if I turned off the thermostat, then the room got really warm. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. I would stay again if I visit Banff in the future.
