The Hotel was clean staff are so courteous,helpful .We have a good view of our room overlooking the mountain . We even have an issue to our bathroom and the maintenance staff respond right away and fix the problem . Our second day stay offered ask new towel .I will highly recommned this Hotel .

We loved the views, the layout, the architecture and the fact it was quiet and clean. The room was spacious, the washroom was bigger than we expected & accessible to those who may need a wheelchair. Loved the design of the room and the amenities in it! The change rooms and hot pool are better than we would have expected! We will be coming back again! We always try out a different hotel when we come to Banff - so far Hotel Canoe & Suites is a repeat place to stay! Thank you to the Hotel Canoe & Suites staff!

Absolutely loved my stay here!! Extremely impressed with my first ever stay in Canada! Would definitely choose to stay here again one day! Outstanding housekeepers- Kept room super clean and tidy. Loved the convenient coffee station in the room where I could order coffee grounds and tea bag refills with housekeeping each day or call the front desk. It was so nice being able to wake up and sip coffee with a beautiful mountain view. The front desk staff were extremely kind and accomodating. The location was perfect. Loved being at the end of the Banff village where it was less noisy but still close enough to walk into the village if we wanted to. Only negative was that I had expected the hot pool to be open during my visit as I had booked it in July and was told it was opening in the summer and it was still not open during my visit the first week of October. I did not receive any discount for that inconvenience. It would have been so nice to use after long days of hiking.

Overall, a really nice property on Banff Avenue, walkable to the restaurants and shopping in downtown Banff or take the Bus no 1 from across the street from the hotel. The hotel gave me a 3 day complimentary pass which I used once, so if you are in the Banff area a lot, the pass can be made to good use. Property was clean, the coffee shop is great and the restaurant attached to the hotel has delicious breakfast options. Their herbed breakfast potatoes a were super delicious, and definitely worth trying. Downsides of staying in this hotel were very few - I couldn’t call the front desk from the hotel room phone because they had some telecommunication issues which the IT was working on. The hotel staff didn’t inform me about this issue until I reported to them. So, I called the front desk from my mobile. The fan in the AC goes off automatically to keep the room temperature at whatever temperature it was set to in the thermostat. That was a little annoying to me because I felt cold whenever it went off and if I turned off the thermostat, then the room got really warm. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. I would stay again if I visit Banff in the future.

Very nice hotel with incredible views of the mountains if you choose a room with that option. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were a bit too high and not soft enough for our taste. The only other issue was that the hallways were extremely warm and that affected the room temperature. The air conditioning in the room is a unit under the window with controls on the wall by the door. There is no setting for the fan but high. It blows right on the table and two chairs so you can't sit there while it's running. Also blows too hard on the person sleeping on the one side of the bed. If they had a low setting on the controls that would probably solve the problem. We opted to sleep with the window open the second night but of course then you have street noise and we were woken by the train three times through the night. Otherwise all was good.

The only downside is the AC/heater unit is too close to one side of the bed. The one sleeps next to it will easily get sick, either too cold or too hot
