Overall the hotel was fine and comfortable, but found the staff to be extremely unhelpful. The concierge wreaked of alcohol one morning and gave us very odd answers to questions. The front desk we called multiples times with no answer. Asked someone else at the front desk 2 questions they didn’t know the answer to (one about room service and the other about directions due to a marathon in town). Breakfast was not good at all - only option is a buffet before 9 which doesn’t make sense when you’re trying to get started early on activities!

This property is marketed on Expedia as a 4-star hotel. There is nothing about this place that is 4-stars. It is a very very average place. Had a fireplace room with a "fire" that was a sad little blue flicker. Tub filled up when you showered and took hours to drain. Ate at the restaurant the first night--one waitress for the whole restaurant plus bar where she spent most of her time. Took so long to get the wrong drinks and one meal wrong that when she then asked if we wanted dessert, she returned to tell us sorry, the kitchen was closed. Property had a bar but it was always closed when we returned from dinners elsewhere. Overall a disappointing experience.

Overall this hotel was good excerpt for the front desk. Person on duty had a very condescending attitude and was not helpful. Fortunately het intervened and corrected the situation. It really pays to have people who truly enjoy serving others working at your front desk.

Loved the fireplace and the size of the room. Several comfortable places to sit, along with a big desk, dresser, frig, and many extras--a safe, iron, separate kitchen area, just so much. Loved the large walk-in shower. Luxurious drapes. The only thing I didn't care for were the thick pillows, as they give me neck aches. The cost of breakfast was exorbitant. We ate elsewhere. The lobby was lovely with the wood fire going. Staff were very polite and helpful. I would recommend this place.

The hotel is in a great location. We were able to leave our car in the spacious parking lot and catch a shuttle bus to Lake Louise from across the street. Our room however was cramped with two double beds and, in spite of the high cost and the lobby and public areas being being very modern and sharp, our room and building was tired and in need of an upgrade.

On the 2nd night of a 4 day stay the A/C broke and I had to move to another room which was an inconvenience of packing and unpacking. At the end of the stay I asked for a discount for that one night and instead was offered 2 free drinks even though I was alone and leaving with no way of using the drinks. A discount would have been more appropriate.
