I booked a stay at the Fox Hotel to surprise my wife for our wedding anniversary and Christmas. Since the hotel allowed pets, we brought along the puppy we recently started raising. Unfortunately, our experience at the Fox Hotel was truly disappointing. From the moment we checked in, the staff were shockingly rude. When I asked for an explanation of the hotel facilities, they simply told me to figure it out myself. When I inquired about pet-related policies, they handed me a piece of paper and told me to read it. They avoided engaging in conversation, even when I asked for help with parking, instructing me to go outside and find it on my own. Despite this, I tried not to let it ruin our important day. I managed to locate the parking on my own, but when we entered our room, we were horrified. Regardless of how busy the season might have been, the cleanliness was appalling. The bed sheets and duvet were covered in someone else’s hair, far more than should ever be acceptable. My wife and I seriously considered just going back home. I couldn’t understand how this hotel had such high ratings on Expedia. I felt like requesting a refund and leaving immediately. Given how late it was, we decided to stay the night but checked out first thing in the morning and went home. This trip turned out to be a nightmare for us. Not only did we miss the chance to use our VIP coupon, but the entire experience was utterly disappointing.

Went to check in at the 4pm check in time but the room wasn't ready and was still being cleaned waited until 430 when finally the recipient said we could but he was nice and gave our whole family complimentary breakfast.the room was clean and really nice

Room card was constantly de-magnetizing. Had to replace it 4 times in two days. Room could have used some TLC, and the sofa mattress was in serious need of replacement. However, the location was good, free bus passes were nice, making shopping downtown a breeze. Overall I liked it and would stay again.

Rooms were very spacious with fantastic beds. Parking was free and heated underground. Also on the parking level is the grotto hot tub pools which are very cool. Only downside is in our queen room we did not have a mini-fridge
