We enjoyed our 6 night stay at the SAMALA hotel. The area is excellent for exploring Bangkok, and the hotel is situated on a quieter street. The staff were very good, and the rooms was great. Would highly recommend a stay at the SAMALA hotel. Only thing to note is that breakfast is a hit or miss. There are plenty of savoury options to choose from, but some dishes were better than others. We found the breakfast to be a convenient healthier option as opposed to eating food from the street.

This is a very nice and clean hotel, great location too. 7 minute walk to all the food, action and BTS. Hotel sits back a street from the main road and rail in a low traffic area so its quiet all night which i value after a long busy day. I stayed on the sixth floor in a deluxe room with a tub. Breakfast at the hotel is a bit pricey if not included with your room price. But you can walk 10 minutes to German Brewhouse for a delicious hearty farmers breakfast for half the cost as the hotel. Staff all lovely and helpful although communication in English at times could be a little difficult. I would absolutely stay here again. This hotel is just what you hope for after a long travel and quick check in too. Thanks Samala hotel for a great stay!

Our stay at the Samala was extremely disappointing. We made our reservation for July in January. Then, two days before we were due to arrive, I got an email asking me to confirm the booking, which I did. However, when we arrived, we were informed that ONE of our rooms had been cancelled and we'd been put into a room, all three of us. The explanation given for this was totally absurd - something about the booking card not working. Ridiculous, given we had chosen the pay-at-property option anyway. After about an hour (with no apologies in the meantime), they were able to find another room for us. When it came time to pay, none of their card terminals were working but they blamed our cards rather than their own malfunctioning tech. We were offered NOTHING by way of apology for this shambolic check-in - not even a complimentary drink. Upon getting into our rooms, we discovered that one of the showers didn't drain properly, and one of the toilets didn't flush! Again, no apology. I have always had wonderful experiences staying in Bangkok hotels, but this one was abysmal. The last straw came at check-out when they tried to tell me that we hadn't settled our bill, despite spending the aforementioned hour at check-in paying using cash because of their faulty machines. I really hope that the Samala takes these criticisms on board and makes an effort to improve their customer service.

Love the stay!
The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and spacious. The front desk including concierge was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant staff was pleasant and welcoming and the pool and bar was a vibe. Its located near tons of eateries, however, it is a lil tucked away off the street whuch is geat because you don't hear the outside noise. Im planning to visit Bangkok again in the near future and will definitely book here again.

The walls are very thin. Could hear the other room chatter whole night. And the room had aircon problems. The bathroom cubicle gets clogged with water within 2 mins of a shower. Overall disappointing stay. However staff are very helpful and friendly.

The staff was amazing and well coming, members like Tong and Tan was very pleasant and friendly. Should I visit Bangkok in the future, I will definitely stay here again. And I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Very nice and clean room!

Everything was mostly great! Cleanliness was at the expected level, service was great! The location is awesome! It is close enough to all the good stuff and yet still tucked away not the on the main chaotic street. The pool has a great relaxing feel. The only issue was our toilet flush is very weak, hope they get those fixed.
