Lovely hotel but very noisy through the night
Hotel was lovely - rooms were clean and spacious, unfortunately 2 things let it down.: 1) the noise all night long from outside making it impossible to sleep, and 2) we arrived at 3pm, check in was from 2pm, but we were told that maybe we couldn’t check in until later on due to the room not being ready.

Chose this hotel because it was within walking distance of 2 metro lines including one to the airport. The staff was helpful in recommending a restaurant a few blocks from the property. Marianna was great and easy to communicate with.

Great place to stay!
We had a three night stay as a couple. Very comfortable bed, lovely room, shower was great! Towels and basic toiletries provided. Breakfast is not included and seemed quite expensive so we went to the supermarket around the corner. We were a bit disappointed by the pool, much smaller than pictures show and not heated, we still had a dip, but was freezing!! There was also alot of noise from outside and neighbouring rooms. Despite this we had a great stay!

Stylish hotel. Area reminded us a little of Cuba - the bustle of people & children s regoing about their lives.. loved being amongst it. Just left out of hotel is corner cafe. Fabulous bacon baguette & coffee.so friendly & locals laughing! Out of hotel across to the right we had a great fun evening in a small bar ( looks shut - don’t be put off). Can understand people being put off area on first impression (graffiti etc).. but please don’t be.. we felt COMPLETELY safe. Metro to city centre just down hill. We loved walking around in evening with local shops open late.. good food at local prices.Loved our stay there.

The Hotel was nice, staff in general helpful & friendly.(Julia) was fantastic. It was very clean, however the area hotel was in was just too far out from the centre of Barcelona. This was not made clear by Expedia, I spoke to someone at length before booking it as well. Our room was at times noisy from street outside, which made it difficult to sleep.

Hotel is just basically a Premier Inn with orange interior's. Starting to show signs of wear and tear, not helped by the cheap use of fixtures and fittings. Tiles coming loose and balcony door not able to close fully, this made the room noisy as the area is very busy. Fake plants in use around hotel are very dusty and the 2 real ones are now dead. Roof top pool is basically salty rain water that even on a 30 degree day is too cold to use, it also serves as a drinking area for all the local pigeons. Bed is very comfortable but you would expect that in any hotel this day in age. Would not recommend the local area as it's a little rough at night.

Hotel itself was very clean and very well looked after. Was very impressed with the standard of the room. Only thing is that it’s in an average area of barcelona and is difficult to get anywhere more central without spending lots on taxi’s.

We checked in and were taken up to room 311. Nice room. However it smelt so strongly of sewer gas that after an hour we asked to be moved. The front desk gladly moved us to a smaller less stinky room (102). We dropped our bags and hit the town not thinking of anything else. We got back to the room around 2330 and showered and got into bed. Almost immediately we could feel us getting bitten. We pulled back the sheet and sure enough there were many bed bugs. I grabbed one, killed it and put it in a cup and took it down to the front desk. The guy told me that ya they’ve had that problem before. I said well you’ll have to move us. So he puts us in a new room again. We asked to have the first night of our 3 night stay compensated in some way as we had to move twice, and the next day we had to waste 2 hours in a laundry mat to ensure the bugs didn’t get into our clothes. The manager told us and Expedia that he would not be doing anything for us as their policy’s state no refunds. On top of everything mentioned above this is no 4-star hotel. It is located in a very rough neighborhood a fair ways a way from the tram. The hotel looks good and modern but obviously has some serious issues that need to be addressed. Don’t make the same mistake as us and stay here. It is certainly not worth the aggravation of the money.

Hotel Orangine was an exceptional property. The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating, the room was clean and regularly maintained. Close access to metro and bus. Breakfast not included in the price and was very expensive, so manly sought options elsewhere. Pool was generally well maintained, sun beds might need a cleaning soon. Overall, a very comfortable stay, and I hope to be back!
