The hotel is in a great spot closed to one of the largest mall in Barranquilla. I stayed there twice and my experience has been great. I have no complaints at all.

Excellent hotel in excellent location
We always try to use the Dann Carlton when we are in Barranquilla. It is clean, well run and they are upgrading the rooms with bigger TV’s. Literally across the road from The Buena Vista Shopping Center. Highly recommended

I travel to B’quilla for one week each year and I like trying different hotels. While there was much I liked about the Dan—great location, excellent gym & pool, clean, good menu & service—I cannot in good faith recommend it. Nor will I stay there again. My room on the 11th floor was located directly under the kitchen of the rotating restaurant, and the noise was unbearablly loud into the wee hours every night. It sounded like a construction site. Despite calling the front desk multiple times to complain about the noise, I was never informed, until my last night, that my room was located directly under the kitchen, nor was I offered a room change. No apologies or concessions for my discomfort, and no refund for checking out early when I couldn’t take it anymore. The customer is never right at the Dan Carlton. I’d recommend instead the Crown Plaza.

The staff was great but the property is nothing like the pictures and there is a lot of mold everywhere you can smell it as soon as you walk in. I did not complain but I won’t stay there again.
