A small “old style” hotel, very conveniently located close to trams and city center. Downside: small room (single room), with no coffee/tea in the room. Upside: very nice breakfast and impeccable service.

I didn't know I had to take 2 trams to get to the hotel. Changing the tram was bit challenging since this was my first time visiting the city. The hotel is pretty old, and the room was quite away from the reception area. Had to take 2 elevators, walk a long hallways and stairs with my luggage. Floor made noise and the building was right next to the church which rang the bell for 10 minutes!

The absolutely lovely receptionist stayed on to let me in as my flight was delayed and I got there just after 11pm. The hotel itself was great, walking distance from the old town, clean, tidy and a really comfortable bed, duvet and pillows. The phone number listed for the hotel though is not in use when you call it so this may need updating.

Clean and convenient hotel close to Basel's brilliant tram and bus links. They upgraded us for free, which was nice too. We didn't go for breakfast as it seemed a bit expensive - but I think it was par for the course in Basel.

The hotel is right in the city center with quick access to the Rhein and area attractions. There is also a tram stop nearby. The hotel staff is great and very accommodating.

Our flight was delayed several hours, but the front desk was ready for our party of six with a very smooth check-in process. The rooms are all quite unique. I booked three rooms of the same type, and all had their own charm. The breakfast had so many options, and was very good. Coffee was available all day which is nice. Without being able to know exactly what we were booked into, the hotel was a pleasant surprise.
