Too hot in the summer (no AC)
The house is nice and cozy, but without AC it’s too hot during the summer. We originally booked it for three nights, but left in the morning after the first night because it was too hot to stay there with two small kids. I also would not call “lake view” tiny glances of lake through dense trees. The beach near the house was very small because the water level was high, and it was not very good for swimming since there are so many boats on the lake that pollute it. Wifi was very good, which was essential since there was almost no cellular coverage in Bass lake.

Nice Mountainside Retreat.
Home was conveniently located near larger lake-front home that was the location of our family reunion. Nice homey feel in the pines. Large deck is great for morning breakfast. The remotes for both bedroom lights turned on both bedroom lights, so that was inconvenient when someone needed a light on during the night.

Yosemite half marathon
Location on Bass Lake is perfect. Easy walk to lake. Beautiful deck. Comfortable beds. We were in town for the Yosemite Half Marathon which finished at a Bass Lake campground. Location was perfect. A bit over half an hour to Yosemite entrance.
