What I didn't like was Hampton Inn & Suites' lack of regard for their customer with regards to Cancellations or refunds. My family was effected by the storms in Houston and Baton Rouge on December 26th. First they landed in Corpus Christie,
then hours later got us to Houston. After finally arriving in Houston, our flight was delayed numerous times and then canceled. We were going to have to remain in Houston until 6:30 p.m. the next day. I called the Hampton and explained the situation and that I didn’t know when we would arrive. We decided to rent a vehicle and drive to Baton Rouge. We arrived at the Hampton at 6:30 a.m. on December 27th. Apparently, we were checked in even though we were still in Houston and charged for December 26th. When I inquired about the charge, I was told since I booked through 3rd party there was nothing they could do. Really? So profits trump customer everytime I guess.
