We got a room in the side building. Our balcony looks out to the beach from the side, which was good. We twice had to ask for clean washcloths and didn’t get any housekeeping on one of the days. Water pressure is light so the outdoor shower was weak. The jacuzzi shower had the wrong shower curtain so there was always water on the floor. Overall, was a nice place but not a 5 star establishment

Stayed many times. This time when booking i even called to confirm the room was end unit. Also sent email but no respinse. When arrived wasnt end unit. Everyday smell of marijuana in stairwell, told front desk. Guests next to us had a young child making alot of noise in early am for 3 hours running up n down outside hall and room had to bang on wall several times. Told front desk. Key card did not work 2nd day had to get 3 new key cards. Did not give us extra toilet paper. No clean towels til 2nd day. Not sure why were paying daily resort fees after laborday. Beaches are free. No beach towels supplied. We brought our own and our own chairs. Why pay for parking pass when the hotel has their own lot. Doesnt make any sense.

This is my second time coming to the Drifting Sands. I choose to stay here because they're dog friendly, reasonably priced, and right on the beach! If you book an oceanfront room, you can enjoy the waves from the balcony or even from inside your room - perfect if the weather isn't ideal for hanging out on the beach.
