A quiet cabin in a wooded area near the Deschutes River in the southern end of Sunriver. With 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, a large dining table, and a fully equipped kitchen, it's a perfect family retreat for all ages. This space is a mix of the old and the new, with updated, comfortable beds combined with the charm of the 1970s. The cabin is located close to the river loop path, which is a beautiful path for walking, running, biking, and x-country skiing along the Deschutes River.
DCCA #1707. NEW! 10 SHARC passes are now included with this rental. This gives you access to the sledding hill, indoor and outdoor pools, and hot tub at the SHARC location, which is a 5 minute drive away.
This vacation home has been in our family since the late 80s.It has seen countless family Christmases, class trips, Spring breaks, and summer vacations. Although we occasionally let close friends use it, it has mostly been a family-only retreat. When we decided to make it available as a vacation rental, we put a lot of work into freshening it up with new paint and bedding, prioritizing comfort and convenience with families in mind. Our vacation home is never going to be as fancy and upscale as many of the newer Sunriver homes. But it is clean and cozy and a wonderful place to relax with friends and family.
Our location is absolutely fantastic. We are off Meadow Road, not far from Sunriver Resort. The Village is a 5 minute drive, a leisurely 30 minute stroll along the paths, or a short bike ride. The house is on a shady big lot with lots of trees. That shade combined with thick insulation keeps it warm and cozy in the winter but nice and cool in the summer.

As parents of small children, we have created the type of space that we needed when traveling with them, making our vacation home both kid and adult friendly. One of the bedrooms has a bunk bed, toy storage (with toys), kids books, and a changing table. We also have the following kid friendly accessories that can be used or left tucked away when not needed:
* a high chair attachment,
* a booster seat,
* a supply of plates, cups, and cutlery for small kids,
* attachments for gates at the top/bottom of the stairs
* safety plugs for outlets
* cabinet safety latches
There are snow shoes and cross country skis, boots, and poles available that can be used right off the back porch in the winter when there is snow, or on Mt Bachelor, a short drive away.
The outdoor closets also contain 3 adult bikes and 3 kid bikes. Additional bikes can be rented inexpensively in the Sunriver Village as needed.
Guests have access to the entire property except for a locked owner's closet upstairs and an outdoor closet off the back deck.
Note: We have a motion detection camera pointed at the driveway. This camera is mostly for detecting snow in the winter so we know when to call for snow removal services. However, we may occasionally also review it for security purposes.
