Cedar Cottage is a retreat in the real sense of the word. Seek sanctuary from the world of traffic, discos, dogs, and roosters. Relax to the sound of birds during the day, tiny tree frogs at night, and the distant sound of the surf below.
The cottage is set on sloping hillside 200 feet above the ocean with a view of the Grenadine islands Balliceaux and Mustique.
You will have access to fresh water pool, surrounded by two seating areas where you can always find shade during the day..
A large fishpond in the garden not only adds to the ambiance with its trickling waterfall and fountain but also functions as an extremely efficient mosquito trap. Millions of tiny guppy fish, talapia and koi keep the immediate surroundings free of mosquitoes, and the few that escape are consumed by dragonflies.
There are two connected cottages on the property. Nobody will be staying in the adjourning one during your visit.

Bequia Hidden Gem
Cedar Cottage is in an excellent location to get away from everything. A bit of a cross between glamping and camping due to the openness of cabins. More for the Sierra Club crowd and less the St. Regis crowd. Stayed with my daughter for 4 days in June and loved it. Peter is a gracious host who always let us know when he was going into town so we could go along. He has great knowledge of the island and will offer recommendations if desired. You will need a decent taxi budget or a rental car and strong legs. Loved hearing the ocean and tree frogs at night. Caught a glimpse of a red-footed tortoise behind the cabin. Plunge pool was awesome, albeit chilly, despite the tropical weather. Refreshing and the view into the main house is interesting, don't let Peter fool you! I think his book should be required reading before booking, so that you can ask follow up questions. We would definitely stay again and since we're reading the book, will come with questions! Bring bug spray because if bugs like you, they will find you.

Great view
The property was clean and had a great view. Peter was a gracious host and provide us with many insights to the island. The neighborhood was quiet and secluded. Our only disappointment was that the pool was on the main house deck and was only 5 feet from a wide-open entrance to his house. If you used it you were looking directly into the great room of his house. We didn't once use it.
