It is a clean, modern hotel, located in downtown Bergen. Solveig (“Sunny”) at Sunday’s checkin was WONDERFUL. The restaurant/bar in the restaurant was closed, as is the case in many places in Norway on Sunday, as I understand. The room (“319”) was very cramped, but I found it workable. There is a small balcony. The room has a large window looking into a looming office building located next door (with an intervening, small canal).

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good! Plenty of options and all tasty! The building was older (especially upper floors) but our room was roomy and clean. Had a mini fridge and comfortable beds. We had a sloped ceiling in our room but it was wonderful to hear the rain on the ceiling window at night - very cozy. The hotel is a convenient quick walk to restaurants, shopping, and ferries. Lobby was nice with cool bar and restaurant.

This hotel was absolutely perfect for us! We had a lovely view across the water of Bryggen; the twinkling lights at night were magical and having the outrageous breakfast buffet while looking across the way was like being in a dream. The hotel is walkable to everything. The staff was helpful; courteous and welcoming. We didn’t want to leave!
