Wonderful, old bank bldg. perfectly fitted to be a classic hotel. Very helpful staff. Many suggestions when asked. Lobby bartender is always ready to set you up with a great evening drink. Twice a day attention to your room. Close to everything you want to see in Bergen. Close walking to many of the city's various evening restaurants.

There was an issue at check-in; I asked for a quiet room and was told mine was above the bar, which might be noisy. But they were reluctant to move me because it would require a downgrade which they couldn't do (for some system-related reason). I had to stress that size of room was not important compared with noise level and I had to go as far as threatening to just leave and go to a different hotel. (I hate to behave like that but I was afraid of being stuck in a noisy room). Finally when someone else interceded I got my "downgrade" to a quieter room, not above the bar. Also of note - the restaurant may be appealing to some but it is a very limited menu!!!

Opus is the crown of the beautiful Bergen.
Gorgeous hotel in a ver centric location. Bergen is full of history and full of life. Very nice place to visit.

This property has amazing staff who always willing to help. The deluxe room was comfortable except the mattress can be firmer. Concierge is also excellent for advice and bookings. Breakfast staff are really good

A top experience.
Opus is an expensive hotel, but the quality of the stay was also a top tier experience. Handy location for exploring Bergen on foot, a brilliant breakfast and very responsive staff make for a lovely Bergen experience, even in the deluge of rain that coincided with our stay. My only disappointmens were that I was unaware of the very expensive room service charge that we discovered at checkout and the fact that rooms do not have telephones and contacting reception proved impossible with our devices.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms aren't as big as I thought they would be, but I was traveling alone, so it didn't really bother me. The customer service however was amazing. I had accidentally left my phone at the lobby and didn't realise until I had reached the airport. My taxi driver was able to contact the lobby and they arranged for another taxi to bring my phone to me. Very helpful, would definitely recommend.
