Very central- near the train and bus stations

We stayed in this hotel three years ago so we knew what it was like. It is very central on Meineke Strasse just off the Kurfürstendamm. The rooms are fine. Bed, table, chairs, a kettle with tea and coffee replenished every day. No iron in the room but you you can ask for one at the main reception. We actually had a room with a washing machine. The breakfast choice is excellent. Various roll, croissants, bread etc. Cold meats, cheeses, hams etc . Tea, coffee, orange and apple juice and a variety of cereals. Got good consisted of scrambled eggs, sausages (a variety), beans and boiled eggs. It's served as a buffet do you can help yourself more than once! There are lovely restaurants along Meineke Strasse.... we are in an Italian one called Luardi's which was great! Very reasonably priced and the food was delicious! There is a very good pub if you turn to the right at the top of Meineke Strasse into the Kurfürstendamm (just beside the cinema). It's a great place to sit and watch the world go by. The Mark Hotel is so central and if you are heading to this area, check it out.

Wow have been great as a 3 star

The decor of the rooms is very dated. Erratic water temperature in the morning. Bar service very slow. Data cap on WiFi. Very good breakfast service. Friendly staff.

Good location/standard but inconvenient room

We stayed for 3 nights. The location is close to U/S Bahn + bus and its easy access to the airport/city. But bathroom was hardly working, which made the room very humid after a shower. The card keys hardly worked and and for the 3 nights we stayed, we needed to ask to have the doors opened. That was very inconvenient. Otherwise everything else was pretty standard.

Could not have asked for more

As this was not our first trip to Berlin we knew what we were looking for but actually found more than we expected. Location of hotel could not have been better - right in the heart of the City and close to everything one could want. A few minutes walk to the main transport hub of the Zoologicher Garten and of course a few short steps away from the famous Ka De We department store and other shops. The staff were extremely helpful and even when we wanted to take a trip to Kopenick for the day we were presented with print outs of what to look for and what to do whilst there. We had not booked breakfast at the hotel but once we saw what was on offer for the price - 9 euros each we decide to have our breakfast there and found it very good. Would highley recommend this hotel and will stay there again on our next visit to Berlion.

A perfect base in Berlin

We have used this hotel twice and are about to book again. For us it's perfectly situated in a quiet street close to transport, shops and all the amenities of what was once known as 'West Berlin'. It's in a prosperous area of the city but close to popular cafes and restaurants. Staff are efficient, professional and helpful. It was busy last time we were there but we use hotels as a base and are out most of the day. Anyway,a busy hotel is usually a good sign. For us that's the case with Berlin Mark.

Romantic Valentines Break

The hotel was good value for money. The staff were very helpful. The only thing I didn't like about the room was that our bed was two singles pushed together which was a little bit of a pain and a bit uncomfortable. Was also a bit annoying having someone knocking on the door at 10am every morning asking if I had taken anything from the minibar. Also would have been nice to have tea and coffee and a kettle in the room.

good trip all-round

Difficult to sleep as there was plenty of noise from the traffic, very convenient to get around from the hotel. Why do the Germans assume we all speak German, if wanting to relax in the evening with a little tv it is all in German.

Erinomainen sijainti. Muuten ok, mutta huone oli melko kulahtanut. Suihkukoppi ja suihku pitäisi korjata ja nojatuolit voisi vaihtaa tai mikäli mahdollista, puhdistaa.

Huoneet sopivan kokoiset, wc :t hyvät, mutta suihkun viemärit vetivät heikosti, seisoit lilluvassa vedessä. TV:n lähetykset kaukana HDTV:stä, kanavia rajoitetusti.
