Please Note: For the safety of all guests, video monitors the outside of the cabin.

Here's a few common questions and answers that will help you decide if the cabin is a good fit for your getaway.

Can we cook at the cabin?

You'll love the flexibility of being able to go out or stay in to cook. We stock our kitchen with pots, pans, plates, glassware, utensils. If you're unsure about what we might have, ask us. The kitchen boasts a stove and oven, which will give you the ability to whip up a beautiful brunch.

We provide a coffeemaker, and microwave.

Is the fireplace functional?

Oh yes! It'll keep you warm on the coldest of nights. Grab some firewood, a lighter, and a Duraflame log to keep the mountain vibes flowing all night long.

Should I bring linens, towels, and pillowcases?

We understand nobody wants to travel with their sheets and pillowcases. Our linens will rival any hotel, and our cleaning crew will take care of everything when you leave. We provide linens for each bed. We wash every piece of bedding before your visit. We'll also make sure there's plenty of towels.

Is the cabin a good place for children?

Yes! We've had several families stay with us, and they've found the cabin perfect for a family getaway. The large lot provides ample space to enjoy the outdoors. Easy access to hiking, skiing, and the lake makes life easy when it's time to get back to the cabin for nap time.

Guests will have access to the entire cabin, backyard, and parking area.

The neighborhood is a mix of vacation rentals and permanent residences. You'll enjoy easy access to all of Big Bear's attractions.

Walk, bike, snowshoe, or drive to your desired adventure. Everything is easily accessible.

Please note the maximum number of cars we can accommodate is two.

Please note that quiet hours in the neighborhood start at 10 p.m. and are strictly enforced.

For the safety of our guests, a ring doorbell monitors the front door by video.

If you plan on using the fireplace, please grab some firewood, a duraflame log, and a lighter or matches to help get things going. You can purchase these items at our local gas stations or grocery stores.

The location is good - a quiet neighborhood not far from the lake. The house itself is cute and looks freshly painted from the outside. The summer season means lots of bugs which wouldn’t really have bothered us much except for the fact that the window and patio door screens have holes in them, so we shared the space with quite a few unwelcome pests. It was very hot this weekend - 90 degrees each day - which made the cabin pretty uncomfortable. The fans provided couldn’t do much to lessen the oven-like feel inside until late in the evening. It was really nice to have a washer/dryer in unit. The coffee maker works and they even provided filters and a little creamer. The board games were nice to have on hand, we enjoyed playing Sorry and checkers. The decor is woodsy and perfect for a cabin. The recliner chair and futon fold-out are both broken. The couches are worn. The carpets are filthy. We found black hairs and cobwebs throughout the house. Some of the cupboards were quite greasy. It’s also probably about time to replace the lumpy mattress in the bedroom, which is upstairs while the only bathroom is down some very steep stairs. The hot water in the shower worked great and there was good pressure. They provided plenty of towels and wash cloths and soap and shampoo. It's probably a great place for a ski group or family, but without some minor home improvements, furniture replacement, and better cleaning we would not return.
